I'll go out every now and then and practice a little bit of macro photography and a lot of times I come back with nothing great but sometimes there's one shot out of many that you're like..."wow I captured that?" Is this shot perfect? Nope but each time I try, the better I'll get. I just gotta tell my self to get out and shoot no matter what.

Did you have a successful week? For me it always feels that the more I take on the more is always left unfinished :) But all in all it was fun and I’m really enjoying this weather. After a long day...it's nice to sit and smoke my cigar, drink a beer and zone out in my hideaway below the house.

We went for a drive on New Year's Day - just after a dusting of fresh snow and found a section of the Niagara Escarpment that also had freezing rain. Everything was coated in a layer of ice but with clouds obscuring the sun, there was no shimmer of light. Still, it was very pretty to see and this little hideaway looked very idyllic.
