Hiking around the Ringkøbing Fjord is great fun, so many interesting places and views. Nymindegab, Jylland, Denmark
Another image I shot from this hidden waterfall in Gweedore a few months ago. A truly magical & stunning place. Having searched online and OS maps I cant see this listed anywhere which made the trek through fields, woods and rivers well worth it in the end.
Its location mixed with the clear bright blue skies made this really tricky to shoot in regards to light but no better way to spend your day off than in the Derryveagh Mountains.

Welcome to Hidden Bottle @ Gin!
Long ago it was used by pirates to distill their bootleg Gin,
now we continue on using their same recipe for happiness...sunshine, smiles, & a great gin!
Be careful of the overhead gondola & enjoy your visit!

It is better to just look over this hidden meadow, than actually go in. It is soaking in morning moisture and after few steps, you are dead wet, covered in mud and grass seeds. Not to talk about the angry grumpy woken up mosquitos that covers you whole. No, no, just a quick little look over the morning beauty and move onto some more walkable places...
Sorry I am not able to post a new photo today. I am headed off the the botanical gardens so hopefully I can bring back some good shots.
Looks better in the large format. (Click L)

When I arrived in this area, it was evident water was flowing. However, it was a challenge to find this opening that included a Falls with no name. The photo is its own reward and worth every thorny scratch received in order to circumnavigate the area.
Taken at Hidden Valley Beach. This beach has many varied rock types. Boulders evident all along and this section has black layered shale types. Some of these rocks have fossils. The headland in the background has rock columns. Mimosa Rocks National Park Far South Coast NSW.
“All shadows of clouds the sun cannot hide
like the moon cannot stop oceanic tide;
but a hidden star can still be smiling
at night's black spell on darkness, beguiling”

the courtyard of the Balbi Palace (18th century) in the historic part of Zagreb, Croatia; the old well (here decorated with Christmas lights) in the center of the courtyard is one of its kind in the whole city and a true hidden gem of Zagreb
This grouping of small waterfalls is named Overlooked Falls. They are located along the trail to Greenstone Falls at Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park in Michigan's upper peninsula. Before crossing the bridge at the trailhead, the visitor must walk down the river about 100 yards or these falls will be missed, i.e., 'overlooked.'

Somewhat hidden, in a less spectacular side valley of the Moselle, and on an even less spectacular, almost boring hiking trail, you reach Eltz Castle, which is enthroned on a 70-metre-high rock. Its imposing appearance is due on the one hand to this, and on the other hand to its eight residential towers, up to 35 metres high, which make it stand out clearly from its surroundings. This truly impressive overall picture gives the feeling that one has arrived in the Middle Ages through teleportation.
From the days when Ellesmere Port was receiving shiploads of coal for onward transport to Fiddlers Ferry Power Station, a Freightliner class 70, unit 70002, powers up the bank towards the little used Ince & Elton station hauling a rake of empty hoppers seeking out a refill of the black stuff.
The train is the 7.26am Fiddlers Ferry PS - Ellesmere Port Manisty Wharf (4F02) and, at just after 8am on a September morning, it's seemingly coming almost directly out of the sun. The train was scheduled to return some four hours later, fully loaded, under the headcode 6F02.
Sadly for the enthusiast this freight flow has long since ceased to operate, and of course Fiddlers Ferry PS is no longer operational either having closed in 2020.
Ince & Elton station (from where I took the shot) hardly fares any better - it currently sees just two passengers trains per day: the 6.03am to Ellesmere Port, and the 6.25am to Leeds. Little point in buying a Day Return ticket then.
The shot replaces an upload of a few years ago with this more artistic interpretation.
