Hello everyone! My boyfriend and I have started an indiegogo campaign page for my Cocker Spaniel Hollie. She needs your help! She desperately needs to have surgery on her left ear due to chronic ear infections over time. She now has end stage ear disease :( Ear flush and medicated ear drops don't treat her infections anymore, her condition requires Ear Canal Ablation surgery. I know we have been absent on here for a long time now and I'm sorry for that. Hollie and I both would appreciate any help we can receive from the largest to the smallest. Please share Hollies indiegogo page with others you know especially other animal lovers. It would mean the world to me!

You can visit her page link below and donate right on the site if you're able to! Thank you so much! <3

igg.me/at/helphollie/x/4263773

So far we have raised $1,500 but we need $1,300 more to pay for her surgery and recovery. Every dollar counts and it will mean the world to her family and friends if you help!

About the Surgery:

End-Stage Ear Disease requires Ear Canal Ablation surgery. The first step for Hollie will be a consultation at Cornell. This will cost $100 for Hollie to receive tests and other pre-surgery procedures.

The surgery itself will cost $2,400. This cost doesn’t include any medications for her recovery. It will take close to 2-weeks for Hollie to recover from her surgery. She will then have a progress appointment with the vet to assess her healing and recovery. In anticipation of the cost of medications and follow-up appointments we are asking for an additional $300.

If You Aren't Able to Help Hollie's Funding Goal:

Please share what we’re doing for Hollie on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social networks! Thank you for your help!

We are teaching two robot classes this fall, to help students create their own artistic robots. These classes are taking place at the Lycée Français in Sausalito (for 4th & 5th graders), and at Tam High School in Mill Valley (for adults and teens). During those classes, students learn how to build a robot from scratch, then make them move in a variety of ways, using a programmable Arduino board.

This photo set is about the custom robot kit we created for these classes at Tam Makers, our community makerspace. It includes a laser-cut chassis with motors and wheels, an Arduino Feather M0 with assorted electronics, an Arduino-powered remote control, as well as body parts and servo motors to make them move.

Our robot kit is similar to commercial products, but with a lot more features, at a lower cost. It was a lot of work, but we’re very happy with the final results, and our students seemed to really enjoy the class. We hope this will encourage other teachers, students and makers to create their own animated characters, for art and technology’s sake.

By now we have all seen the tragic destruction and loss of life surrounding the natural disaster in Japan. In desperate times like these having people and organizations to help individuals pull through is incredibly important. It not only provides immediate tangible help but also develops a vital sense of community for those involved.

There has been a truly earnest response among the Japanese community at the unanticipated level of caring and support the rest of the world has shown in the past few days. Many friends have been truly thankful for even the small messages sent to make sure they were alright following the earthquake and tsunami.

To me this was important. The strong sense of community among the Japanese is truly something unique and it has always to me been something I have aspired to.

I, like many of you, have people in my life who have been affected to different degrees by this disaster. Like many of you I have also in some form donated money to help the relief effort. However, I began to feel guilty knowing I could do much more.

So this is my offer and my challenge to you all.

I want you to donate a minimum of $15 I will be taking donations on behalf of the Red Cross. In exchange, I want to take one sincere picture of you, holding up a badge of support. All the money collected will be donated to the relief effort. I will also be putting together a photo blog to showcase the people being a part of this effort.

This is what I would like to represent our message:

Special thanks go to shing02

It's simple enough but the value of it is so much more.

We can all do our part to help on a financial level. However, to me there is more than just financial support. I want people to know the face behind the gesture. I want to showcase that the international community is forever a part of the Japanese community. To me the worth of that support is equally as vital to people as assisting them financially in times of need.

To those who feel they can help be a part of this in other ways, please do so. Whether you take up your own camera and follow suit, make it your own or find another creative way you can use your talents and personal time to help the situation, put in the effort and be a part in creating an international community. I would much rather we all work on this together.

That is my challenge, be a part of this. Whether it is on one side of the lens or the other, help out and build a community that will ultimately bring a lot of good in a lot of valuable ways.

The images will be put up on a blog. The more people involved, the more we can show how much the international community is really a part and the more significant a difference we can actually make. If you know of people wanting to be involved please let them know.

So please, contact me or anyone involved and let's make this grow. You can reach me at mariuszphotography@gmail.com

For those looking to help in other regards you can do so via the Red Cross in a number of ways.

Finally, I would also like to encourage others to use these pictures in their Facebook profiles similar to the current badges going around to help spread the message to donate.

Thank you everyone!

My cat helps wrap presents for Christmas. 2013.

Now for a few doubles from the yurt. (And I swear this is the last time with this sign. I'm obsessed with it. I saw one out in the field yesterday up here on the Boise National Forest and slammed on the brakes so I could shoot it, but then remembered I already had, three times.)

giant plaster cast, my broke foot weights one billion pounds.

We saw several people dressed up weird... this woman was dressed in pleather bloomers, pink rubber gloves, fairy wings, devil ears, and a tutu, and was carrying a toilet brush. She walked up to tables asking "can you help?" and holding her purse open for donations. We also one guy dressed up like a kangaroo dancing in the square, and a man in a French maid outfit walking down the street. Very interesting.

Brill night and great turnout. thx to all

yepp, that's me. I have other portraits of myself, but this one will do for now. I loved kim's self portraits, so I tried something similar to hers, but of course hers looks waay better:)

Dear Firefox,

I need help. I try to web browse, but Firefox keeps switching to this page. Also, I can't seem to find the keys--as you can see from this photo, they've vanished under a small cat.

C'mon. We know we all bought crap off of the internet like that obscure CD or that P90X DVD or that massager that's now collecting dust. If you got some, spare some. Thanks.

I know some of you are active in DoA for example. I have no access to buy/sell sections of any BJD sites. I'm looking for Dollzone Sherry (sometimes seen referred to as Shelly). I would order her from Dollzone but the waiting period is 10weeks which is too much considering I will give birth in 11 weeks. So if you see one or have one you could give up, lemme know!
