This corner of Eight Avenue and Forty-seventh Street is now occupied by a Kiehl's. A while back I posted a photo of the faded old Jean-Jacques Sempé mural that went much better with Metro Bicycle that a cosmetic store.
But this one was taken over eight years ago with my old Canon PowerShot G10. Taken the same year I purchased a Bianchi Volpe that I still own.
In this photo I can make out a reflection of myself holding the camera as high as possible to avoid a photo where the building seems to be falling over. I was younger and thinner. Perhaps I need to get on that bike more often.
Seen on West 56th Street between Ninth and Tenth Avenues (the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood) in New York City.
