These Hello Kitty-inspired appliques were made for my friend Courtney using my own pattern design. They look so much better once sewn on as it eliminates any curling. (See my Hello Kitty-inspired key cozy for example.)
I really wanted to take something with myself in it, but after the entire day went by I got a little too lazy to include my face. (Plus I wanted to show off my cuuuttee slippers!! xD)
2. Remove the Apron
Now comes the best part - the body. People say eat female in autumn and when the weather is colder, eat the male. The female has lots of eggs, and the male has them as well and some creamy stuff which is the best part. Look at the belly, there is a small movable flap at the posterior of the carapace (the apron). Lift it up and get rid of it.
Sunee celebrated her 3rd birthday in April.She wanted a Kitty cake so of course it HAD to be Hello Kitty(whom she loves).She got some dress-up clothes for her gifts which she's wearing in this photo. I made her cake but accidently wrote,with frosting, "Happy 2nd Birthday"!!! Luckily the frosting hardened up and I removed the mistake before anyone saw it. OOOPS!

Gotochi Kitty is a line of regional/local Hello Kitty charms. It's estimated there are a few thousand; more popular tourist attractions and areas have multiple Gotochi Kitty designs. I think Tokyo Tower has the most I've ever seen in one place, even from places nowhere near Tokyo!

Sometimes, I can't believe how gullible I am when it comes to shopping. I saw these Hello Kitty screen protector in Market Village and bought it against my better judgement. My phone is now a little more girly in a stealthy sort of way. This screen protector is totally reflective when the screen is not lit or if you're viewing from an angle so people can't see what I'm texting!
I feel a little less grown up now everytime I look at my phone...sigh.
