My in-laws gave me these Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel dolls, wearing traditional Japanese wedding clothes, when Joseph and I got married. They know I love HK and all things to do with Japan, so these are perfect!

This was the first day I found myself struggling with the project. I think all the stress of this week culminated and hit me at once. I grappled for a long time with what to photograph and re-thought the way I've been approaching my entire 365. But this is really all I know how to do.
I complained to Joseph about how tired I am of my photographic style, and he said, "But it's a really popular style!" Exactly the problem! All my photos feel so uninteresting. He said he didn't mean it negatively, and I believe him--earlier this week he also accidentally called me fat, haha
Hubs got this for me a long time ago. After I just gave birth to Josh and had a hard time dealing with my breast engorgement from breastfeeding.
It was tough to leave home after a month of relaxing and reflecting. It was a month that saw the end of my TIK project and some quality time with my family. As I took my seat, ready to fly away from STL, this is what I saw. It was a little wink from the universe letting me know it'd be okay. I'd needed that.
