In 1570 the Battle of Gelt Bridge took place in this area. Leonard Dacre and his forces were defeated by Henry Carey, 1st Baron Hunsdon, cousin of Queen Elizabeth I.
Over 200 people were slaughtered during the battle and Hell Beck ran red with their blood.

Week three folks and really enjoying this whole experience. Loving seeing everyone's work. Had no idea what to do this week. Was thinking about the "cold" prompt (unsuccessfully!) and one night as the sun was going down, the most beautiful sky appeared for all of 10 minutes. The hill is "Bennachie" and creates a beautiful skyline which I can see from my house. I'm sure it will feature again !!
Not much photoshopping done here as I know so little about this (very much a "learner")

They finally re-opened the section of the park at Randalls Island that allows you to venture under the RFK Bridge for a nice view of the Hell Gate Bridge....

As seen in a church in Klagenfurt, Austria. It seems they didn't behave well and now they ended up in hell. I bet now they wish they had paid the church more money to save their souls.

Turkmenistan: Nestled in the depths of the Karakum desert lies this gaseous crater, accidentally created by the drills of the state energy company. Legend has it that forty years ago a Soviet soldier flicked his cigarette into the hole, setting it alight. It has been burning ever since and is known locally as Hell's Mouth. www.ohcomely.co.uk/post.php?id=226
Inside the ground, in the most deep caves where all is darkness and fire dwells the fearsome creature: The HELL TROLL, that eat Trolls Orcs, Goblins, Dragons and any other living creature. His breath melts the steel, its tail is like white hot steel whips, his skin is like a rock and his horns can reduced to ashes his enemies.

Heute gehört der Garten zur Stiftung des österreichischen Künstlers André Heller. Er hat zu den vielen Pflanzen Kunstwerke verschiedener bedeutender Künstler aus aller Welt (z.B. Keith Haring) gesellt, die aus dem Botanischen Garten nun einen Kunstgarten machen. André Heller selbst nutzt die e Villa als Wohnhaus, wenn er am Gardasee weilt.
