Primary artwork for a new series about the reality/existence of hell, and will examine issues like universalism, eternal security and so on. The title comes from the question "do you really think that a loving God allows people to go to hell?" And his answer was..."Hell Yes I do".
The Wewurukannala temple is dominated by an image of a seated Buddha. It is 160ft high, the largest statue in all of Sri Lanka and dates back to the time of King Rajadhi (1782 - 1798).
Hell Roaring Lake is nestled among thick trees at 7,407 feet, where the canyon branches into distinct alpine basins. The Finger of Fate, an elegant tower of solid granite, stands as a sentinel above the north shore of the lake. Long fins of glacially-polished slabs descend from the Imogene basin to the south shore of the lake. The hike from the lower trailhead offers nice creekside camping for a shorter trip. Hell Roaring Lake is an alpine lake in Custer County, Idaho, United States, located in the Sawtooth Mountains in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. The lake is approximately 13.3 miles (21.4 km) southwest of Stanley. The lake can be accessed from State Highway 75 in the Sawtooth Valley.

The Snake River forms the Hells Canyon Pool behind Hells Canyon Dam in Hells Canyon. Idaho on the right, Oregon on the left.
The Hell Gate Bridge was an engineering marvel and longest of its kind when it was completed in 1916. It remains a highlight on any Amtrak trip from New York to points east.
I found a giant stack of these melamine Heller plates designed by Massimo Vignelli. I don't really have room for them though. So I listed them on my new etsy vintage site Oystercatcher Vintage Goods.
A trio of older CSX locos drop off the Hell Gate Bridge (presumably in search of the NY and Atlantic RR - Long Island's freight hauler).
Hike to Hell Roaring Lake: You get most of the elevation gain out of the way early on this hike. There are some nice views of Hell Roaring Creek to distract you as you climb. Then it's a few boring miles through forest that might seem discouraging if it weren't for the knowledge that stunning Hell Roaring Lake and The Finger of Fate are just ahead. We hiked 10.5 miles total on this hike on a beautiful 75 degree day.
When the weather deteriorated and cancelled our 4 day backpack into NE Oregon's Eagle Cap Wilderness, we set our sights on the Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho. We had only been to the area once and we still had plenty of exploring to do. Our weekend included perfect weather, a beautiful campsite on the Salmon River and hikes to Alice and Hell Roaring Lakes.
Found these canisters marked "Heller Designs Inc." on the bottom. Set me back .49 cents each.
I need to go and find some of that "Goo-Gone" solution to help remove the sticky tag residue from the top of the caps.
Liked the way these looked and the price was right.
Not sure if Massimo Vignelli designed these as well. Will have to look it up later..
UPDATE: I found another smaller canister today in the same color - so I now have a set. : )
Boca do Inferno (Portuguese for "Hell's Mouth") is a chasm located on a cliffy seashore close to the Portuguese city of Cascais, in the District of Lisbon. The seawater has access to the deep bottom of the chasm and vigorously strikes its rocky walls, making it a large tourist attraction.

Outside this Army Barber Shop had a sign that reads:
GET A HELL CUT
And a get a free copy of the
"Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway" Game
Free copies of the game were given to those who were willing to have a fade or buzz cut during PAX. To further humiliate the attendees the barber spray painted the word HELL behind the person's head.
