Darkday bravely stands before Hell's Gate and tries to peer through the fiery madness to the burning treasure inside.
'Hell Striders' - I haven't painted an illustration from my 'Exotic Slaughter' world for some time, but have had lots of ideas in my sketchbook just waiting for the time to be bought to life! So here's the 'Hell Striders' - Huge, genetically engineered creatures, tethered to vast gas filled airships, that pump flammable gases down to them, channeled through umbilicals, a capable of projecting the flames hundreds of metres across the battlefields and trenches of WW1. Two handlers ride on it's back, controlling the fire spitting, temperamental beasts, and ensuring the gas supply from the airships is constant. Great herds of these monsters, slowly stride across non mans land, spewing inferno's and death as they sweep by. Feel free to share....
A building in Hell Bourg on l'île de La Réunion with the shutters closed. It is a tradition on the island for shops and businesses to close at lunchtime for a midday siesta.
An old cracked and peeling 'Shelleys' soft drink sign cropped sinisterly in Kaolin Street, Broken Hill, New South Wales
At the end of the long road deep into Hell's Canyon you are rewarded with this view.
I like the lines leading down the river to adventures yet unknown.

Great album full of bouncy songs...Shane mcgowens last album before losing it to Drugs and alcohol.....after which he was replaced at gigs by Joe Strummer [not a bad replacement]...The song Rain street stands out for me.....A good album but it's not Rum, sodamy and the Lash.
Not as rock'n'roll as AC/DC but riding a bike under the July sun is kind of hell.
Cold beer is better.

First light for a ZWO ASI 178 MM camera which has much smaller photosites than my previous cameras - hoping this will prove useful for close in lunar, sunspot and planetary work.
The photosites are 2.4 micron in an array of 3096 x 2080.

Crater Hell lies at 9 o'clock (large, dark semicircle shadow with central peak) within Deslandres and is surrounded by a number of smaller craters scattered throughout Deslandres which are labelled with letters.
Hell Q is the bright crater with some rays and pale ejecta at 3 o'clock within Deslandres- at full Moon, the surrounding area becomes one of the brightest on the Moon and is known as "Cassini's bright spot".

New York City is indeed a helluva town. Even the names of a few of our locations reflect that. Hell Gate dates back to New Amsterdam's Dutch colonial period, Hell Gate is a corruption of the Dutch name "Hellegat" which meant "hell channel." It refers to the narrow and treacherous strait of water separating Astoria, Queens, from Ward's Island, and connecting the Long Island Sound to the East River.
The Encyclopedia of New York City tells us that Hell Gate earned its name from sailors navigating the shallow channel's strong currents and rocky reef. Hundreds of ships have sunk into Hell Gate, including the British ship Hussar, which in 1780 was shipwrecked whilst carrying a significant amount of silver and gold. Its treasure is still sought after by divers.

This is an emblem I noticed on one of the bikes.
- www.kevin-palmer.com - Hell's Half Acre is a geological oddity near Powder River, Wyoming. There is an overlook beside the highway, but a surrounding fence prevents further exploration.

I rarely post pics of my wips but heres one. I had this one around for a couple months but got stuck in developmental hell because I had no more of those wheels that I used on my bullpup ACV so it ended up on four cinder blocks : /
