The Door to Hell is a natural gas field in Darvaza, Turkmenistan. The Door to Hell is noted for its natural gas fire which has been burning continuously since it was lit by Soviet petrochemical scientists in 1971. The fire is fed by the rich natural gas deposits in the area. The pungent smell of burning sulfur pervades the area for some distance.

American aircrew of "Hell's Belle" pose in front of their B17F "Flying Fortress" of the 91st Bombardment Group, 8th Air Force. (RAF Bassingbourn, England, Oct 1943).

Hell's Belle was initially assigned to the 548th Bomb Squadron, 385th Bombardment Group and later transferred to the 401st Bomb Squadron of the 91st Bombardment Group. After 13 successful missions the original crew led by Lieutenant Jewett were reassigned to the another aircraft and a new crew led by Second Lieutenant Charles Guinn took over Hell’s Belle in October of 1943, flying a further 12 missions. During it's 25th mission on the 1st of December 1943, the bomber was attacked by five enemy Bf-109 fighters while bombing the industrial area of Solingen, Germany. With three of the four engines smoking, the pilot managed to safely crash land near Boich, Germany and the crew were soon captured after attempting to destroy the aircraft. The bomber was recovered by the Luftwaffe and used for spare parts.

- www.kevin-palmer.com - Hell's Half Acre is a geological oddity near Powder River, Wyoming. There is an overlook beside the highway, but a surrounding fence prevents further exploration.

Hell Roaring Lake is nestled among thick trees at 7,407 feet, where the canyon branches into distinct alpine basins. The Finger of Fate, an elegant tower of solid granite, stands as a sentinel above the north shore of the lake. Long fins of glacially-polished slabs descend from the Imogene basin to the south shore of the lake. The hike from the lower trailhead offers nice creekside camping for a shorter trip. Hell Roaring Lake is an alpine lake in Custer County, Idaho, United States, located in the Sawtooth Mountains in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. The lake is approximately 13.3 miles (21.4 km) southwest of Stanley. The lake can be accessed from State Highway 75 in the Sawtooth Valley.

Last week I went to the hotel where the Modball rally drivers stayed. The hotel was in Badhoevedorp near Schiphol. When I got there I did not know what I saw. Many tuned Aud R8 and very cool Hot Hatches and some nice Gallardo's. The most bizarre car was this Audi R8 grandoise by Regula Tuning! The greenery and the huge spoiler made him truly unique. He was still in combo with a blue S5 and a grey R8 with even such a nice spoiler. What do you think of the Modball rally? And of the tuning of this R8?

On a ridge overlooking the Patapsco River and adjacent to the Ilchester Paper Mill sits the ruins of St. Mary’s College. The former religious school, which opened in the 1890s, prepared hundreds of young men for the seminary until it was eventually moved to a nearby facility in the 1950s. The remaining structures were abandoned, and what little remains continues to be reclaimed by the forest.

Hell is a group of short, black, limestone formations located on Grand Cayman. It is in West Bay.

The area is about the size of half a football field.

Visitors are not permitted to walk on the limestone formations but a couple of viewing platforms are provided.

We visited 'Hell' in April 2018.
