The Door to Hell is a natural gas field in Darvaza, Turkmenistan. The Door to Hell is noted for its natural gas fire which has been burning continuously since it was lit by Soviet petrochemical scientists in 1971. The fire is fed by the rich natural gas deposits in the area. The pungent smell of burning sulfur pervades the area for some distance.
Hell is a group of short, black, limestone formations located on Grand Cayman. It is in West Bay.
The area is about the size of half a football field.
Visitors are not permitted to walk on the limestone formations but a couple of viewing platforms are provided.
We visited 'Hell' in April 2018.
On a ridge overlooking the Patapsco River and adjacent to the Ilchester Paper Mill sits the ruins of St. Mary’s College. The former religious school, which opened in the 1890s, prepared hundreds of young men for the seminary until it was eventually moved to a nearby facility in the 1950s. The remaining structures were abandoned, and what little remains continues to be reclaimed by the forest.

Hell yeah! UT Longhorn football is back after a missing 2020 season (at least from the band and fan's perspective) and the Longhorn Hellraisers were on top form shouting on the team during their September 4th opening game against Louisiana Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns at Texas Memorial Stadium, Austin.

This image is inspired from the song "Hell Nep Avenue" of the French singer-songwriter Francis Cabrel. In a seedy part of a town, inhabited by poor people, people plays the Blues to express sadness, misery, loneliness. And the bluesman wait for the bus from which never get off the woman he loved and lost. My little cat expresses this expectation.
Funny thing, the title "Hell Nep Avenue" is a word game of Cabrel: " Elle n’est pas venue » (in french : She did not come)" can be pronounced the same way as Hell Nep Avenue with an english accent
There is no sky above Hell Nep Avenue....
When the days are cold
And the cards all fold
And the saints we see
Are all made of gold
When your dreams all fail
And the ones we hail
Are the worst of all
And the blood’s run stale
But with the beast inside
There’s nowhere we can hide
No matter what we breed
We still are made of greed
This is my kingdom come
When you feel my heat
Look into my eyes
It’s where my demons hide
Don’t get too close
It’s dark inside
It’s where my demons hide
