I've been after this shot for several years. Whenever the rescue helicopters from MCAS Yuma make a "sandpit" departure to the north, if they see photographers, they'll head straight for them. While the gesture is greatly appreciated, it never really makes for good photos since they're backlit from head-on. This time around, I made sure I was well east of where most of the other shooters were, and it paid off.

Just a simple shot taken in my studio of a model helicopter, lighting was provided by three studio flash heads each with a largish soft box fitted and shot against a white paper backdrop.
