I've been after this shot for several years. Whenever the rescue helicopters from MCAS Yuma make a "sandpit" departure to the north, if they see photographers, they'll head straight for them. While the gesture is greatly appreciated, it never really makes for good photos since they're backlit from head-on. This time around, I made sure I was well east of where most of the other shooters were, and it paid off.

If you were ever wondering what the bottom of a helicopter looks like... tada! It circled twice around the area near the tennis courts. I'd have to guess that it was a police chopper. I don't think they'd like civilians fly that low.
