I held my breath from my kayak just to see who could do it the longest and this rubber-nosed swamp donkey won.
Fortunately, moose are adept swimmers and can hold their breath underwater for a full minute. Their large nostrils act as valves to keep water out as they dive up to six metres. When colder weather comes they feast on underwater plants that are out of reach for other species. Canon 40D
The Laugavegur is a famous trekking route in South-West Iceland from the hot springs area of Landmannalaugar to the glacial valley of Þórsmörk . It is noted for the wide variety of landscapes on its 55 km (34 mi) path. The route is typically completed over 2–4 days with potential stops at the mountain huts at Hrafntinnusker, Álftavatn, Hvanngil and Emstrur. An ultramarathon is held on the route each July. It is possible to combine the trek with the Fimmvörðuháls route which goes over the pass from Þórsmörk to Skógar for an additional one or two days or an additional 25 km (16 mi). Landmannalaugar, Þórsmörk, and Skógar are all reachable by bus during the summer. A bus from Hella connects with Álftavatn once a day during the summer.

You held me down and took control
You told me count my blessings
You took advantage of my soul
I should've learned my lesson
But I'm so messed up
(I can feel it, I can feel it in my bones)
I just want your touch
(I don't wanna, I don't wanna be alone)
I can see the devil in her eyes
I think I'ma stay for the night
Hope she doesn't take over my mind
Will I even make it out alive?
I can see the devil in her eyes
I think I'ma stay for the night
Hope she doesn't take over my mind
Will I even make it out alive?
I can see the devil in her eyes
No I can't take this anymore
(I know I'm the problem)
I keep on coming back for more
('Cause you are a goddess)
But I'm so messed up
(I can feel it, I can feel it in my bones)
I just want your touch
(I don't wanna, I don't wanna be alone)
I can see the devil in her eyes
I think I'ma stay for the night
Hope she doesn't take over my mind
Will I even make it out alive?
I can see the devil in her eyes
I think I'ma stay for the night
Hope she doesn't take over my mind
Will I even make it out alive?
I can save you, if you let me try
I can see through all the bullshit lies
I won't let him take control inside
It's enough now, cause the
The devil is alone tonight
I can see the devil in her eyes
I think I'ma stay for the night
Hope she doesn't take over my mind
Will I even make it out alive?
I can see the devil in her eyes
I think I'ma stay for the night
Hope she doesn't take over my mind
Will I even make it out alive?
I can see the devil in her eyes

Info from Wikipedia:
Niagara Falls (/naɪˈæɡrə/, Cayuga: Gahnawehtaˀ or Tgahnawęhtaˀ is the collective name for three waterfalls that straddle the international border between Canada and the United States; more specifically, between the province of Ontario and the state of New York. They form the southern end of the Niagara Gorge.
From largest to smallest, the three waterfalls are the Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls. The Horseshoe Falls lie mostly on the Canadian side and the American Falls entirely on the American side, separated by Goat Island. The smaller Bridal Veil Falls are also located on the American side, separated from the other waterfalls by Luna Island. The international boundary line was originally drawn through Horseshoe Falls in 1819, but the boundary has long been in dispute due to natural erosion and construction.
Located on the Niagara River, which drains Lake Erie into Lake Ontario, the combined falls form the highest flow rate of any waterfall in the world, with a vertical drop of more than 165 feet (50 m). Horseshoe Falls is the most powerful waterfall in North America, as measured by vertical height and also by flow rate. The falls are located 17 miles (27 km) north-northwest of Buffalo, New York and 75 miles (121 km) south-southeast of Toronto, between the twin cities of Niagara Falls, Ontario, and Niagara Falls, New York.
Niagara Falls were formed when glaciers receded at the end of the Wisconsin glaciation (the last ice age), and water from the newly formed Great Lakes carved a path through the Niagara Escarpment en route to the Atlantic Ocean. While not exceptionally high, the Niagara Falls are very wide. More than six million cubic feet (168,000 m3) of water falls over the crest line every minute in high flow, and almost four million cubic feet (110,000 m3) on average.
The Niagara Falls are renowned both for their beauty and as a valuable source of hydroelectric power. Managing the balance between recreational, commercial, and industrial uses has been a challenge for the stewards of the falls since the 19th century. (Wikipedia)

Today I held flowers
And I dressed in white
I made a promise
And my mother cried
And every moment
‘Till this one right now
Fades in the shadow of the
Love that we've found
Cause I never knew
Love like you show me
You see me you know me
Like no one else
When I found you
I found my safety
And I let it change me
And open my world
When I found you
I found myself...
……Not a particularly good shot but interesting how far you can see from the top of Sale Fell - Solway Firth and Scotland off beyond, a stitch of two shots taken hand held on an enjoyable Fell walk. As for wind - there was plenty on top of Sale Fell so I’m sure it would be coming up the Firth!!! BTW, it's not as near as it looks - more than a stroll away which is what it looks😃 Mid point of the week and going well I hope, stay cosy & locked down to stay safe and to keep EVERYONE else safe too! A VERY BIG THANK YOU to ALL the key workers who are carrying on to benefit the rest of us - we applaud you all. Alan;-)👏👏👏👏👏

Nine Emperor Gods Festival is a very popular nine-day festival, held in Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia. It begins on the eve of the 9th lunar month of the Chinese calendar.
According to the traditional Chinese religion, the Nine Emperor Gods are the nine sons manifested by Father Emperor Zhou Yu Dou Fu Yuan Jun and Mother of the Big Dipper Dou Mu Yuan Jun. The Nine Emperor Gods are formed by the seven stars of the Big Dipper of the North Ursa Major. Over the time the worship to the gods declined, but the festival was brought from the mainland China to Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, where it survived and got certain unique traits.
The temples of the deities hold a traditional ceremony to welcome the emperors. It's believed, that they arrive through the waterways, that's why festive processions are held from the temples to sea shore or river. The sending-off ritual starts on the last day of the festival.
Nine Emperor Gods Festival is also known as the Vegetarian Festival in Thailand and Singapore. The name derives from the vegetarian ritual, held on the eve of the festival. The followers abstain from eating meat during the festival to purify their bodies from sins.
I held a leaf up to the sky and took a photograph of it. It wasn't until I loaded the photo up to the computer that I noticed that I had actually captured a shot of a tiny fly going by. The fly is on the bottom right of the leaf.
Hand held shot taken just before sunrise. The breeze picked up just after his shot so it was back to into town for a coffee. Luckily, there was a place open as it was a little fresh :-)
Flower held behind the shower ("hey, that rhymes" :0D) Taken with short exposure (1/500 i think) used flash, and macro mode.
Sorry everyone! I've been really busy yesterday, so didn't come on.
(((hugs))) & Kisses. xx

Following on from my previous shot over the barley www.flickr.com/photos/17469730@N00/53823550608/in/datetak...
This one was taken a little later and shooting across the tramline where I spotted a Seagull feather caught in the ears of the Barley, so this became my foreground and the first shot of a three shot focus stack towards the far trees and the setting sun.
As you can see the crop was still a little green but having gone down to check it out this morning I could see the crop has ripened a little more, so in the next day or so if the conditions allow i`ll pop back down to the field.
