Dear Friends,

Due to a variety of factors that Mama couldn't prevent, we're sorry to say that the opening of Naiomi's Closet is being delayed. Our new grand opening date is April 14th. Mama and all of us are heartbroken over this but we hope that you understand. She did everything she could so the store would open today. There are lots of goodies that Mama and I are so very excited to show off. She has been missing taking lots of photos of us too so Mama said we could show off the things she has been working hard to make. Mine and Yuriko's outfits are just the beginning!

Having the store open later will give us a chance to get even more things added to our inventory, and give Mama some time to sleep. She has been working so very hard to make things that everyone would love. Even though she thinks she's invincible, even parents need some time off.

One of the best things about Naiomi's Closet is the amount of options in styles, but most of all, you get to choose the prints that YOU adore! If there is an outfit that you want for one of your girls, at the very least currently we have 75+ options for each piece! If you want one of our prints on a piece of clothing but you don't see it, request it! I think that's just awesome!

With the added time Mama is looking forward to adding lots of ruffles to everything, Rainie keeps insisting that she can put fabric glitter on designs as a side job to her spy network, and Tama keeps thinking up new ideas for plushies and other snuggable things like blankets. (Poor little guy broke his arm yesterday.) I have to say that I hope Mama has the chance to try out the 3D printed glasses for me she has been talking about for a long time. I have SO many idea of ones she could make me! Before she and Papa adopted us, Mama said she used to be making 3D things all the time. Most of all she wants to make 3D printed ceramic dishes! Oh my goodness, wouldn't that be wonderful? I know Tama would love that to pieces so then he could have all the dishes he wants to fill up the kitchen he keeps asking her for. :D

So again I want to offer my apologies that Naiomi's Closet isn't able to open on the date we had been trying very hard to meet. So stay tuned in for more updates (Mama said she's thinking about 2-3 new picture updates every week!) So many goodies! *squeeee!*

They have taken the kitty away. :( I'm heartbroken.

I was heartbroken for my son when he & his wife said they were divorcing. Thank goodness there were no children.

Ironic when I took this picture it really didn't apply...picture prophecy. These are the heart broken converses.

I decided to be super cliche and do a bath shot, i kinda wanted to portray the idea of being heartbroken.

But hell, if ididnt, its just some gorgeous girl in a bath :]

I thought that the picture itself gave the story idea away, but wanted to explain it anyways, I also added the moon in the sky with the custom shape tool, and used neon glow and adjusted it so the glow size was 5 and teh glow brightness was 15, to bring out that different feel in the BG.

I am truly heartbroken to hear that our gorgeous Eleanor is no longer with us. It is such a sad sad time here on flickr.

And what upsets my more is that it is Lyn's hamster that left.

Lyn is such a wonderful person and a true inspiration to me so I wanted to do something extra special for her. (And I on no way mean to downplay what i have one for others in the past) and one of the few things I am alright at is drawing.

So I drew Ellie goddess here. I wanted to take the time to do so and while it is not exactly as I planned I am pleased wiht this and hope it is a comfot to Lyn.

I am so sorry but I will always remember Ellie as the sweet, joy-bringin ham she was. I never knew your previous hamsters but i am sure she has found her sisters now. Play in peace, dear, dear Eleanor.

After 2 education programs, a trash scout, and camping through 4 storms, we were very heartbroken to cancel the cleanup and festival. We would like to thank our sponsors, partners, crew, and friends from the Washington Area River Council for the hard work and support to make these large-scale events happen. We greatly appreciate all the exhibitors, musicians, and artists who stayed on-call until the very end! Additionally, we'd love to thank individuals from the City of Washington who were there to help with the cleanup, especially helping with emergency response.

I was heartbroken to find out after my visit this had been sold to Trans World Entertainment in the spring so what I thought was an independent record store was a common FYE. I had a feeling change was in the air as I browsed the store.

Meet Toby! our newest addition. as you all know we were heartbroken when we lost our golden retriever Max to stomach tortion in August. Frankly we were devistated and it really affected out German Shepard as she and Max had grown up together.

I had this client who had bought Toby as a puppy as a surprise for his kids ( age 3 and 5). never having owned a dog before they didnt realize that this cute puppy would grow to be over $100.00 pounds (and he's only 13 months old)

When i realized that A) the dogs life consisted of being in the back yard ALONE all day and being in a crate in the garage at night I was very disturbed. This is no life for a growing dog.My husband and I started to offer dog sitting for the w eekends that my clients went out of town as I desperatly wanted this sweetie to have some dog interaction and he had a ball and I was saddened every time he had to go back. I tried to talk to his owners about quality of life and they just didnt get it sooooooooooooooo recently when they offered Toby to us for free ( a pure breed Golden lab) we jumped at it. This poor dog had no idea how to interact with other dogs, people ANYTHING!!! Hell he wasnt even house trained but thats all been taken care of. He's a sweet , sweet boy and we're happy to give him a good home.NOTE:

Do not buy a dog unless your dog people and always go to a shelter first and give a shelter dog a good home! You'll be doing a good thing. Toby makes 9 animals in our home....8 are rescues.HERRRREEES TOBY!!!

Woody died suddenly today.

We are heartbroken but taking comfort in our love for him, and his love for us. He was a rescue who fit into our home and routine pretty quickly.

Woody just got sick out of nowhere, we took him to the vet and they took care of him, he was comfortable and sedated when he left us.

Button we brought home from the sanctuary Marc helped out at, at the same time as Purdy about 4 months ago. We were hoping they would both be company for Sparkles after we lost Poppy ,Sparkles' sister to paralysis. We were heartbroken and thought these two needy girls Button & Purdy could live out their days with us. Buttons story is this.. The sanctuary had had her for a week before we got her, Terry had rescued her from a flat where the old lady she lived with, suffered from dementia & forgot to feed her & another cat. Unfortunately the other cat was dead when Terry rescued Button. She was a bag of bones & could not be vaccinated as she was so underweight. Long story short, we fostered here back to health, she is a beautiful affectionate girl, but as she put on more weight & got stronger, started attacking Sparkles & Purdy almost relentlessly. Sparkles was staring to develop behaviour problems, the house was all doors shut and we were all in a state of unrest & stress. Sparkles would not come down from upstairs, Purdy wouldn't move from the mat by the back door, as she could see when the ambush was coming etc. This was not play fighting. So we had to , after much heartrending , and much liasing with our lovely rehoming/lost cat officer Rosie, give her over to be rehomed by Raystede, a wonderful sanctuary in Sussex.

We were hearbroken & felt we'd failed, but that is ego. We weren't right for Button. She needs a home where she is the only cat, after the trauma she suffered (she had a peculiar way of drinking water, I guess as it was on very short supply) no kids or dogs, and plenty of attention, food & cuddles. We, while we had had got her vaccinated, wormed & chipped, and gave her all the love we could. believe me we tried EVERYTHING to make it a harmonious household, But it wasn't happening. To watch my Sparkles develop into a nervous wreck was not fun. Now , a few weeks later, Sparkles is more back to her old self, & Purdy is more relaxed & spreads out more. They give each other a wide berth but that's fine. We can only look upon the Button episode as our first foster case. But I don't know how anyone does it full time, like Smoggieskittenclub, all power to them, cos we fell very much in love with Button & hope & pray she speedily finds a gorgeous home . Update, I see Button is reserved. This is good news.
