Lesson learned.....I got lost in the world you gave me for a little bit.
Heartbroken, my head is a mess and the only thing I can think of is this:
PRIORITIES and who means what in my life!
You will NEVER have me in SL or anywhere outside of SL ever again!

Spirit Island on Jasper National Park's Maligne Lake is one of the most photographed and loved destinations in Canada.
I first saw an image of Spirit Island when I was young. I always yearned to stand here myself and savor the natural wonders that had so impressed me. It was truly a spiritual experience for me when I finally did visit.
According to First Nations mythology, Spirit Island gets its name from two young lovers from feuding tribes who used to meet secretly on the island. However, when the young woman eventually confessed her forbidden affair to her father, one of the tribes’ chiefs, he banned her from ever returning to the island. Heartbroken, her lover continued to return to Spirit Island throughout his life, hoping to see his beautiful lover again. But she never came and he eventually died on the island, where his spirit still resides.
Enjoy a wonderful day!

The sun soon to fall behind the distant Isle of Arran.
Today was the funeral and burial of my mum. For reasons beyond my control I was not able to attend. I am heartbroken.
Mum only managed to visit me once after I moved to Scotland as she was not a very good traveller. She would never fly and was afraid of long train journeys. That one time though, we took both of my parents by ferry to the Isle of Arran, here, and returned to Troon to eat some of the best fish and chips in Scotland. The fish jumped out of the harbour and into the fryer to order and we sat on a bench around the corner and watched the sun set with our supper.
Both of my mum and dad remembered those fish and chips very fondly, they must have been nice!
In any case... I'll be finding a tidal pool like this one tonight to watch the sun and it's reflections fall beyond the Isle of Arran once again. I will be remembering and thinking of my family.
Be safe my Flickr friends.

There is a heartbreaking and infuriating story behind this artwork. This work is in memory of poor Sheba, a gorgeous tiger who lost her life. Long story but locals are spitting mad that she had to be put down, and her owner is absolutely heartbroken. She was directly a victim of the main problem that plagues South Africa: the ANC government. As i said, long story but i wanted to make something in her memory.
Sirkeci Train Station, like someone left alone in the cold. Heartbroken. I have the feeling, every time, someone comes near, a window lights up. It's sad, that so much beauty is being wasted.
That was 2016.
It is now 2021, I think the feeling is the same in the minds of many. Waiting rooms should be temporary stops before you embark on a journey. What we have now is a stasis. Isolated, much to give but having no one to. The few conversations with people and friends are the few moments we light up, and try to show the beauty; within and around.
Reedited and reframed.

"Seeking deeper meaning in spirituality"
During the summer of my thirteenth year I found a job at a rental yard near my home. After a couple of paydays I ask my parents if I could redecorate my bedroom with my own money. They exchanged dubious glances and finally agreed. Down at the local hardware store I purchased two cans of beige paint and a wall mural of this very scene. I guess you could say that it has been somehow embedded into my spirit and soul over the decade that I viewed it, and there is definitely a spiritual connection for me.
Forty one years Later:
Last month, my partner in crime Bill McIntosh and I set off for the snowy mountain peaks and grassy meadows of the Canada Rockies. This stop "Maligne Lake"
Approaching the lake was heart breaking, almost to the point of tears for me.
For those of you that don't know, the bark beetle has ravaged this area and IMHO it only has a couple of years left before its all dead......No Freaking Joke, fifty percent of the trees leading into Maligne Lake are DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!
This location is purposely difficult to access or requires a boat ride to visit. It's quick too, I flew 1500 miles and was only afforded 15 minutes on land and then its back to the boat(Sadness again.) :-(
Was it all worth it, Hell Yeah!!!! Who knows if I'll ever see it that way again, before the beetles.
Spirit Island itself has its own sad love story to go along with it. It is said, a boy and girl from two different tribes would meet on Spirit Island weekly. Of course, they soon fell in love, but their tribes remained enemies. After the girl confessed the story of her forbidden love to her father (a chief), he banned her from ever returning to the Island. Heartbroken, her lover continued to visit the island, hoping to see the girl once more. He never saw her again and died on that very island and legend has it that his spirit still haunts the island, desperately searching for the girl to this very day.
Sorry to bum you guys out with all this sadness....In spite of this, Please have a great day, Hehe.
Thanks for taking the time to take a look at my photos, I am always grateful for your views, comments, faves, and support, they are truly appreciated!! Have a great day my friends!! :)

Since you've been gone
You' would think I feel lonely
Cry all night, lose my mind
I'm all alone and it feels like a blessing
Well does that disappoint you?
I pulled out all the stops
To feel sad, to miss all we had
But I'm sorry I ain't heartbroken.
I pulled out all the stops
To regret all the fights we had
But really, I ain't heartbroken.
Hey I feel great I feel strong.
Does it really seem so wrong not to long for you
And the way you've been trying to control me?
Well, you know what?
Those days are over
Sometimes you should stop...
Hey y'all. It's been WAY too long. Life has been crazy these past few months and I haven't had much time to post. While I've been away, I've heard some tragic news that a couple of my flickr friends have unexpectedly passed away. With that, I'm going to change things up a bit and use this post as a tribute to their memory.
First is one of my favorite wildlife photographers, Jo Ellen East. I loved her nature photos and she is the reason that I discovered Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge in Indiana. I’ve always liked wildlife photography but I never had much luck with it until talking with her. She taught me that some of the best photos she’s taken were all from her car, and to always “look in the rear view” as you could potentially miss some of your best shots otherwise. She also gave me plenty of tips on how to spot otters, owls and other wildlife at the refuge. Because of her tips I was finally able to spot some river otters and even the eagle pictured above. I am forever grateful for her advice and I think of her each time I visit Muscatatuck.
Second is one of my flickr friends, Donna Currall (donnacurrall). I discovered Donna several years ago when she was posting photos of old houses. She always had the most interesting stories on her posts (loved the Earl and Daryl tales) and her sense of humor can’t be matched. She frequented my photosteam and would comment on nearly every photo I uploaded, pointing out something unique each time (and sometimes stuff that I even missed!). I know Donna will be greatly missed and I don’t think she knew a stranger, she spent a lot of time interacting with everyone here and getting to know everyone. I am very heartbroken to hear of her passing when I logged in today.
I will really miss seeing posts and talking with both Jo Ellen and Donna. I share my deepest condolences to their family and friends. As I wrap up, I also want to take a quick moment and say thanks. I absolutely love flickr as a photo sharing platform and the community here. There are so many on this website that I’ve gained inspiration from and I consider friends. Thank you all and I hope that I have been able to inspire you all too. For those who are new here, I encourage you to connect with other photographers that share similar interests and continue the legacy of Jo Ellen and Donna.
(Apologizes in advance as I have several months of comments and activity to catch up on - I promise that I will eventually! I look forward to seeing the great pics that have been shared while I’ve been away.)

We are heartbroken - yesterday we had to say goodbye to our sweet little grandma Leyla. How empty could a place be without a little cat.. 18 joyful years are over. Now maybe she can meet her sister Lolita who passed away two years ago.
I need a little break again - three months ago my father died, now my beloved furry friend. I need some rest now and will be back when I feel better.

If you are heartbroken
People, if you are heartbroken, just keep smiling. Just reminisce all the good times you guys had. Never think about why he/she broke up with you. Never think about what you guys did wrong unless you guys cheated. If you people cheated, it was the right choice that he/she broke up with you. You people, just need to smile. Never be sad, you got friends who keeps you laughing. If he or she just broke up with you for no reason, maybe he/she got tired of it. Friends are always here for you. Suiciding is the stupidest choice to do.
In many cultures, the kingfisher is admired for its striking beauty and impressive hunting skills. The bird's vivid blue and orange feathers have inspired various legends and stories. One popular myth comes from ancient Greece.
According legend, the kingfisher was once a beautiful woman named Alcyone, who was married to a mortal named Ceyx. The couple was deeply in love, but their happiness was marred by a tragic fate. Ceyx was lost at sea during a storm, and Alcyone, heartbroken, threw herself into the ocean to join him.
Moved by their undying love, the gods transformed them into kingfishers, and they were granted the gift of a peaceful period on the sea during the winter solstice. This period, known as the "halcyon days," was marked by calm seas and tranquil weather, allowing the kingfishers to build their nests on the shore without fear of storms.
The story of Alcyone and Ceyx became symbolic of enduring love and tranquility, and the kingfisher itself was celebrated as a symbol of peace and happiness. The myth explains the bird’s unique behavior during winter and emphasizes the connection between the natural world and human emotions.
The kingfisher's real-life qualities—its vibrant plumage and skillful fishing—further add to its allure and make it a fitting subject for such a mythological tale.
The runied windmill on the hills was constructed in the 1820s. The mill is built on the highest part of Cleadon Hills on a slight artificial mound. The building incorporates a stone reefing stage, a feature that was peculiar to windmills in the area.
The mill was severely damaged in a storm at some time during the 1870s, and then suffered the indignity of being a target for gunnery practice during the First World War. Nowadays the entrances to the mill are barred and locked, the remains of internal machinery that were visible in the mill during the 1970s are now gone, although broken fragments of a millstone remain.
A local legend relates the story of Elizabeth Gibbon, a heartbroken woman who threw herself from the top of the mill tower and whose ghost apparently haunts the ruin of the mill to this day. The windmill was operated by the Gibbon family at the time the storm took place, which lends some weight to the tale of Elizabeth's suicide.
It's not a war, it's an invasion! There is no conflict, there is a huge country with a huge army invading a small country. Nothing justifies what Ukraine is suffering. A country that has nuclear weapons enough to wipe out life on this planet several times over is threatening us all, but Ukraine is being crushed first. Nothing justifies what the Ukrainians are suffering.
I am not Ukrainian, nor Russian, but I am heartbroken.
Malta was every bit as beautiful as I had imagined right from the day I had set my sight on the Azure Window. I was heartbroken when I realised Azure Window has been swept away by the forces of nature a couple of years ago. In fact, the biggest and the only reason we went to Malta was to get a glimpse of the majestic Azure Window.
However, as we were traversing through the island, we realised a few things - Malta is a beautiful little Mediterranean island, summer months and hot and dry, and that there are beautiful little seaside towns with a rich history and architecture.
Valletta is the capital city of Malta located in the south east of the island, between Marsamxett Harbour to the west and the Grand Harbour to the east. Valletta is the southernmost capital of Europe. This is the city skyline looking across from the harbour.

Pained piano keys compose
a chorus-less composition.
Melancholic moods crave
to sway back and forth
like bluebells and lilies dancing,
when kissed by the morning breeze
Forlorn flute flirts with sympathetic tunes,
echoing vivid vibrations,
piercing layers of a forgotten heart.
Somber undertones seduce the soul
as it struggles to swim,
silently immersing in sorrowful symphonies.
Yet the orchestra is mute - slumbering
in the ruins of unfinished musings.
Ignorant to the heartbroken harp
that lusts to strum romantic melodies,
but stands in sincere elegance,
decaying as dust suppresses its emotions.
Lyrics float by, searching for a home,
but remain unheard in the absence of the viola.
Its loss has become an enemy
to violin strings, crippled from cries
yearning for their cello comrades.
Alone their music does not co-exist
and falls upon deaf ears.
Music has no providence,
yet the mind is lost in its province.
Searching for soothing serenades
that softly sail ships towards
shores strumming sweet strings.
Sometimes harmonies struggle to enlighten in solitude,
but when composed together, their lyrics live forever.

I was heartbroken when one of my favorite mugs fell to the countertop from a cabinet shelf. I cannot bear to throw it away..
The mug's diameter and its height are both 3.5 inches. I have cropped the image to fit within Macro Mondays' limits..
The “Madman’s Window” is a natural, window-shaped gap in limestone boulders looking out towards the Irish Sea.
The name comes from a local tale about a man from the nearby village of Glenarm (County Antrim), who lost his sweetheart in the waters of Glenarm Bay. It is said that the heartbroken man, losing his grip on reality, came here every day and simply stared out to sea, apparently waiting for his sweetheart to return to him.
Here's a much better composition than mine, taken around 1865, when the surrounding area wasn't so overgrown: www.flickr.com/photos/nlireland/8115421964
I'm pretty sure the dapper gentleman in the picture isn't the original madman!

Two roads diverged in a yellow forest,
and heartbroken that I couldn't walk both
being a single traveler, I was on my feet for a long time
looking at one of them as far as I could,
to where she was lost in the undergrowth.
So I took the other, impartially,
and having perhaps made the right choice,
for it was bushy and pleasant to walk on;
although as for what I saw there
i would have chosen either one.
And both that morning lay equally,
oh, I had saved that first one for another day!
even knowing the inexorable way things go on,
i wondered if I should have retraced my steps.
I must be saying this with a sigh
that somewhere gets old and makes you grow old,
two roads diverged in a forest and I,
i took the less walked,
and that has made all the difference.

.
According to the ancient Greek myth, Apollo mocked Eros, who decided to take some revenge on the God of music, poetry and the arts, so he shot him with the golden arrow of passionate love, while he shot the nymph Daphne with the arrow of hate.
Apollo pursued Daphne who ran away from him. When he finally reached her, she begged her father Peneus to have the Earth take her in so as to escape the embrace of the passionate God. She was so turned to a gorgeous plant, taking root in the ground, the plant Laurel. Apollo was heartbroken but swore to hold her forever, wear her on his head, hence the poets and artists were crowned with laurel leaves, φύλλα Δάφνης.
Apollo rendered her evergreen, her leaves never decaying.
This is a copy of the famous sculpture by the Italian sculptor Bernini. Daphne is turning into the laurel tree, as Apollo is touching her.

It is also one of the statues decorating the gorgeous HANGING GARDENS OF BABYLON palace on sl.

I lost my dog Pancakes last night unexpectedly. I've had her since 2008. I adopted her when she was 3 years old from the SPCA.
I lost my other dog Sammy almost a year ago last October in a tragic way. I never thought I'd feel this grief all over again so quickly.
I miss Pancakes so much already even though she's only been gone a few hours. She died in my arms. I am just heartbroken.
Gone but never forgotten.
She was only 8 lbs but my little love that was braver than most dogs 3 times her size.
I hope she's with Sammy now playing fetch with God.

In Denizli for a weekend, the old beautiful city from my childhood is long gone. But there are still children and they still want to play. The Main train station of Denizli tells the same story like all the other train stations in Turkey; old, lonely and heartbroken. At least this one has something to cheer the mood up.
I can see you in your winter gloves
Wishing that I never left
Throat closing, waving from across the street
Heartbroken, you still got a piece of me
I tiptoed alone
To your wooden room
I felt you changing
In an afternoon
We left it open
Kept the pages clean
I didn't mean to let you go
I still see you in the snow...

I think this is an adorable wee puppy picture of Asha, I just added a wee inspiration quote to add something extra to it, something that meant a lot to me as I longed for this little puppy and prayed for her when my previous border collie Sasha died and I was so heartbroken. My way of coping with this loss was to get a puppy in memory of Sasha with the longing that maybe in some way Sasha would come through this little puppy. I couldn't tell you here how much Asha is like Sasha they are identical personality wise in so many way that even now I feel they are one. To me Sasha will never be dead while Asha is alive...
My heart breaks for the hundreds of innocent Ukrainians suffering because of greed and power. Perhaps world leaders can come together and figure out a more compassionate way to share our world? We all belong in it and we must learn to share it equally. We have to stop being selfish and think of others, our wildlife and our environment. If we all work together life can be so much better. Teamwork is always a joy, when we achieve things together it is much better than doing it alone.
Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️❤️❤️
It’s been one year since you went to the other side of the rainbow bridge leaving me heartbroken. Your bed is still here waiting for you, and even though I know you’re not coming back I still have no strength to move it. :(
I miss you and kiss you every single day…
You have left my life, but you will never leave my heart …my sweet furry angel...

Smile on Saturday theme: Ice cream.
A two scooper of dairy free Chocolate and Cookies 'n Cream ice cream in a homemade waffle cone - always, always in a waffle cone! 🍦 One scoop is usually enough for me as the Lickity Split Ice Cream Parlour is very generous with their portions. Today I couldn't decide on just Chocolate or Cookies 'n Cream and since I am a piggy at heart, I chose one of each and I have zero regrets! It really was not as big as it looked! 😋
I had to go dairy free several years ago and I was heartbroken that I had to give up milk and cheese, most of all pizza and ice cream. These days many ice cream companies have come up with some really good dairy alternatives that taste just as good as the real deal.
Thanks for visiting!! I hope your weekend is going well!
