It is said that after his wife's death, Shah Jehan was so heartbroken, that he locked himself in his private chambers for a month and when he finally emerged his hair had turned completely white.
Soon after the completion of the Taj Mahal in 1657, Shah Jahan became seriously ill. As he lay dying he watched hostility break out among his four sons. Aurangzeb imprisoned his sick and ailing father in the Agra fort, where he remained confined for eight years until his death.
From the balcony of Muasamman Burj tower at the Agra Fort he could look down on the beautiful monument he had created for his beloved wife.

Cupcake left us on June 16, 2006. We are all terribly heartbroken and are missing her desperately. Cupcake was our only non-rescue. She was our first ferret. We puchased her at a pet store when she was 9 weeks old. We did all the right things, gave her a proper diet, and vet care, but she still died right before her fifth birthday. It appears that lymphoma has taken it's toll again.

He went to sleep in my arms this morning while I stroked him, showering him with tears of love.
Misty’s Big Adventure are heartbroken to announce the death of their friend, musician, composer, songwriter and band leader Gareth Jones, aka Grandmaster Gareth. He died at his home in Birmingham, UK. He was 41.
We shared this terrible news on our Facebook and Instagram pages late on Thursday night, as soon as we felt able to express our grief in words:
To all the lovely fans of Misty’s Big Adventure, we have some very sad and difficult news to share with you all.
Gareth sadly passed away on Sunday.
He left us the day after a truly joyous home gig at the Hare & Hounds where we were surrounded by pure love and friendship. To everyone who has attended our gigs, shared in our performances, listened to our music and given us so much in return we are overwhelmingly grateful, and we shall never forget you. We made something beautiful. We are so sorry to have to share this devastating news with you all.
Gareth, the world is truly changed without you.
All our love to you at this difficult time. Please take care and reach out to friends, family and the people you love. Share your burden.
Grandmaster Gareth’s band – our band – Misty’s Big Adventure – was founded in Birmingham, UK, in 1996. We were teenagers. Most of us are in our forties now. The band was our life, our family, our creative purpose. We released five studio albums, numerous tour CDs, a Best Of compilation, and were due to begin work on our next album. We performed live all over the UK and Europe, and met so many wonderful people, and we hope that we added a splash of joyful colour to this world with our music.
The late great John Peel was a supporter of Gareth’s music, commissioning a Peel Session Monster Melody and famously declaring Gareth to be “the new God”.
In addition to his work with Misty’s Big Adventure, and releasing a series of solo albums, Grandmaster Gareth collaborated with many artists including Broadcast, Jeff Lewis, Pram, The Zutons, The Retro Spankees, Dog Food, Brute Force, Kimya Dawson, Noddy Holder, Gruff Rhys, and Sir Patrick Moore. He was Musical Director for the Creation Theatre Company, Oxford, for whom he composed a number of scores and musical arrangements. He wrote the theme tunes for Dave Gorman’s BBC2 series Genius and for Jimmy Carr’s Comedy Cuts on BBC Radio 2. He also composed music for video games, including Pool Panic, Loot Rascals, and Surgeon Simulator 2. His community music projects with adults and children in Birmingham were a joy he embraced whenever the opportunity arose.

Loretta Young as an Indian Gal??? - Rita Cansino (Hayworth) was heartbroken!!
..............here's what happened:
16 year old Rita Cansino was a new starlet at Fox, and had appeared in 2 or 3 small parts in 1935. The word around Fox studio was that Sheehan planned to make Rita a big star in ''Ramona''. Rita was excited about it and planning for it.
''Unbeknownst to Rita, dramatic changes were taking place at Fox that would alter entirely the course of her career. Sheehan had seen her dancing in Agua Caliente and it was he who signed her to a Fox contract. He became her mentor.
In 1935 Fox merged with Twentieth century, whose leaders were Joe Schneck and Darryl F. Zanuck. They quickly took control of the new joint entity known as "Twentieth Century Fox". Sheehan lost his job to Zanuck who cast a dubious eye on the projects of his predecessor.
Unfortunately , as Sheehan's progegee, Rita would be among the first to go. After warily studying the tests she had made for 'Ramona'' Zanuck declared her all wrong for the part and replaced her with Loretta Young. As if loosing ''Ramona" was not enough of a blow to Rita, after she had finished 2 additional films Sheehan and scheduled, Zanuck dropped the option on her contract. ''
This event brought about 2 changes in Hayworth's career ... it set her back and delayed her stardom. It would be 5 years before she became bonafied Hollywood movie star..for the next 4 years she was mainly a "B movie" actress and often did small bit parts.
Her final break came with the film 'Only Angels Have Wings'' which was an A picture and she had the 2nd female lead. He performance was excellant and she drew the attention of the fans and the moguls.
The other thing that happed as a result of being dropped by Fox was that a salesman, Ed Judson, had been talking to her father about marrying Rita and taking over her career management. After losing the Fox contract Rita was married off to Ed Judson. Ed was her husband, father, ''boss'' and manager until their divorce May 22, 1942 (1 week before their 5th wedding anniversary).

Georgie and Houdini (Duckie is somewhere to the right!) Day 13 of being hand-reared by my best friend Heather, meaning the kittens are now around 4 weeks old. Sadly their 2 sisters who were being hand-reared by Heather's mum died earlier today, don't know the reason for this but everyone concerned is heartbroken.
