Jack was barely sick but within two weeks, he was close to death. I'm still shocked and so sad he is no longer there for me every time I open the door. He was my one bright spot to an otherwise cold world. He was my soulmate, now I'm lost.

"You drained my heart
And made a spade
But there's still traces of me
in your veins"
(special thanks to Stil. you were great as always!)
I spotted this 4 month old husky while having a picnic. Thought it was really beautiful so i randomly snapped it.

A little bit depressing for the last day of the year...but that's how i feel today..
People are crazy around here..everybody's running..and you have to find the place for the evening and the dress and the company...and i don't feel the spirit..
I'm quite sad cos even if it happened 3 month ago, it feels like it was yesterday.. i miss him terribly much and I hate him and i hate myself for not hating him as I should..I wish he'd come back..and I can't stop crying when I think about him..and I shouldn't because it's new year's eve and I am supposed to be happy and to go partying with the guys and laugh..instead i just can't breath... I gave him my heart and he played football with it..i know i'm better off without him..everybody's keep saying that...but a part of me aches without him..dunno what to say..or to think..so i'm gonna go...i'll find something cute to wear..put on a smile..and just let this day pass..hope it'll be better soon.. :)
EXPLORED
My first bike
As though it were yesterday, I can still picture in my mind, my very first bike. A red little number with stabilisers on. I would ride this bike up and down the neighbourhood morning, noon and evening. I remember the other kids used to laugh at me cos it took ages before I figured out how to ride without stabilisers but nonetheless, I had the baddest, most awesome bicycle on the street and that made me the Mack Daddy!
A few times it got stolen and I would be totally heartbroken but then my brother and I would get word of who stole it and where it was and we'd go there to retrieve it (and a little beatdown would be handed out to the culprits of course).
I think I practically rode that bike till it fell apart and even though I had a few others after that, the only one I ever remember is my red bike with the silver stabilisers....
TNIG: Interviewer
PE: Primrose Everdeen
TNIG - Hello Prim! How do you feel going home at this point in the compettion?
PE - I'm heartbroken to say the least. Ever since I was little I always wanted to model being the "oddball" in my school. People would always tell me that I have such big eyes.
TNIG - Do you feel like you should've been eliminated?
PE - Yes... and no. I knew that I was resting on my "Rebellious Angels" photo and was determined to stand out in the group shot! I guess It's just hard when you have two amazing models sitting in front of you. Naturally I don't like to be the center of attention and fade into the background as a person.
TNIG - What do you think made you that way?
PE - I'm not a confrontational person. I'm not really outgoing which made it hard for me to make friends when I was little. I was the girl that would stay home and read all day and take photos of my cats basically. *giggles*
TNIG - Who were you closest to in the house?
PE - I was closest to Mia and Martha. I was honestly shocked I became friends with them so quickly. We all just have similar personalitys. I'm going to try to stay in touch with them now! As for the other girls in the house... lets just say all the "good girs" are leaving and all the more "interesting" girls are still in the running, to say the least.
TNIG - What was your favorite photoshoot in the compettion?
PE - This is an easy question... "Rebellious Angels" for sure. I was in my zone that day and I finally looked mature! The shoot was a normal shoot htat was mediorce untill the last frame. The photographer just told me to do something crazy. So I just fell and it worked!
TNIG - Are you going to continue modeling now that you are eliminated?
PE - I will try of course. I don't want to be like the girls from last season that said they will continue modeling and we never saw them again. Though I didn't make it that far in this compettion I want to experiment with the "real" world of modeling.
TNIG - Who are you rooting for to win?
PE - My only friend left is Mia! So Team Mia all the way baby! I just wish I've could've made it farther for not only my fans but for myself. To prove to people that I can put myself out there. I'm exicted to see the rest of the compettion! I'm getting out my popcorn because it will be juicy, for sure.
Well, I have another story for you! Yesterday at the pet shop, a lady had to bring in her rats, as she was getting evicted from her apartment. She was out of control with the breeding. She had to get rid of them all. Her and her daughter brought them all in 2 tupperware containers. It was so sad, for the rats, and for them, it was just a case of not knowing. They cared for them, and the daughter was heartbroken. We took them all... all 47 of them! It was a scramble to get cages set up, get them seperated and taken care of for mites. There were big, young boys girls all mixed up. I am afraid most the females could be pregnant as we found 4 boys in with the girls. While sorting, I found a tiny tiny one and another a bit bigger. The tiny one was almost dead. I grabbed it right away, and warmed it in my hand. It started to come around. I gave it a bit of water and it drank that. On my break, I ran to the baby store and got food and it ate like there was no tomorrow, and there almost was not. We got a heat lamp on it, and I pulled the other one out to put with it. I believe it is a sibling, only almost 1/2 size bigger. They have to be at least 2 weeks old as their eyes are open. They said the mom would not feed them, and a sweet surrogate mother has mammory tumors and could not feed them. The others died they said. Anyway, after getting the 47 put in cages, and for the first time in their lives actually having a cage and not a tupperware home, they seemed very happy! I stayed late to help, and got most done.
I took the 2 babies home, and the little one the girls at work named Thumbelina. I am not actually sure if it is a female, but we will see.. the other one is a girl, and I was so happy to see her eating a pea last night on her own, I named her Sweet Pea!
I have today off, but am going in to see how they all are doing. What a tragedy. But at least now, they will get good homes and be healthy happy little rattys.
I got up this morning, and little Thumbelina was very happy to eat. She will have to be hand fed for awhile until she is stronger, which I have noticed already she is! I will keep posting photos of her, and lets all hope she grows and thrives like a little ratty should.

looking like a born again
living like a heretic
listening to arthur lee records
making all your friends feel so guilty
about their cynicism
and the rest of their generation
not even the government are gonna stop you now
but are you ready to be heartbroken?
are you ready to be heartbroken?
pumped up full of vitamins
on account of all the seriousness
you say you're so happy now
you can hardly stand
lean over on the bookcase
if you really want to get straight
read norman mailer
or get a new tailor
are you ready to be heartbroken?
are you ready to be heartbroken?
are you ready to bleed?
what would it take
what would it take to wipe that smile off of your face?
are you ready to be, are you ready to bleed?
are you ready to be heartbroken?
are you ready to bleed? (heartbroken)
well you better get ready now baby
are you ready to bleed?, ready to bleed?

Nancy’s New Dog
One of my neighborhood friends, Nancy, recently lost her dog to old age. She was heartbroken because Mickey died while she and her husband were at church. Anna and I tried to provide a little comfort with some flowers but it’s so hard to lose your fur-baby. Especially when you have an empty nest! So I was super excited when she texted me a couple of weeks ago and said she had stopped at the Humane Society of New Braunfels on the spur of the moment and fell in love with a blonde lab. Her husband, Steve, met him and fell in love too, so he got to come home with them that very night. Meet Max! Isn’t he gorgeous?!? Nancy says he’s the perfect dog. He doesn’t chew on things, he’s housebroken, he’s cuddly, and he already knows basic commands. I got to meet him and I fell in love too. What a sweetheart!!! How could anyone ever surrender this dog? HSNBA says he was microchipped but never registered and he was at the shelter for a month and a half. Oh my heart!

Apologies to those who probably saw millions of pictures of her at the time, apart from Gertrude here I've found goosanders to be the shyest birds ever. Dunno why but she hung around with the mallards and swans battling for bread and stuff, perhaps the only bird I've ever seen actually intimidate a swan. Then she just left and I've not seen her since, I was heartbroken at the time ! Most of the pictures below I've had on as extras before I think, I got a bit carried away : ) I think they're known as common mergansers in the US and Canada by the way.
August 1954:
James Dean and Pier Angeli (1932-1971) are attending the 'premiere' of a re-release of the 1939 epic, "Gone with the Wind."
Born Anna Maria Pierangeli in Italy, Pier seems to have been Jimmy's main true love; he was heartbroken when she gave into her mother's demands that she stop seeing him because he was not Catholic, and then swiftly married Italian American singer Vic Damone. Jimmy is alleged to have been outside the church during their wedding, occassionally gunning his motorcycle (though he denied this). Her marriage only lasted 4 years, followed by bitter custody battles. But by then Jimmy was dead. Pier stated that he was "the only man [she] ever loved."
How fleeting fame can be--though not for Jimmy, even if he did not live long enough to see the release of his last 2 films, "Rebel Without a Cause" and "Giant." But for Pier...recognized at 19 by the Hollywood Foreign Press--i.e., the Golden Globe Awards-- as Young Star of the Year after her American film debut in the drama "Teresa," fame, unlike in Jimmy's case, never turned into legend. At the start of her Hollywood career, she was signed to Warner Bros, the studio for which Jimmy worked, and he supposedly met her when visiting Paul Newman on the set of "The Silver Chalice," a film that was an awful, quasi-religious costume drama which Paul would make fun of after he became famous. (Paul did a screen test with Jimmy to play his brother in "East of Eden" but was not cast) ... Back to Pier: her career in America floundered by the late 1950s though she still made films. She died of a barbiturate overdose at the age of 39--some say suicide, some say accident.
Though so much has been written about Jimmy's life, including incredible and lurid (and some fake) accounts of his love life, according to his friends, and director Elia Kazan, with whom he worked on "East of Eden," Jimmy and Pier were certainly more than a publicity item but had an intense, if too brief, romance.
Pier, don't listen to your mother!!!!
***I think this Barbie actually looks like Pier!

I was heartbroken when I realised that his little legs couldn’t reach the pedals, I wondered how he would get home. In an attempt to help, I wheeled him around the corner and gave him a bit of a push down the hill……..as he picked up speed and rapidly disappeared down the road I realised that he couldn’t reach the brakes either.
