I go out to work on a Monday morning
Tuesday I go off to honeymoon
I'll be back again before it's time for Sunny-down,
I'll be lazing on a Sunday afternoon
Bicycling on every Wednesday evening
Thursday I go waltzing to the Zoo
I come from London town, I'm just an ordinary guy,
Fridays I go painting in the Louvre
I'm bound to be proposing on a Saturday night (There he goes again)
I'll be lazing on a Sunday
lazing on a Sunday
lazing on a Sunday Afternoon.
QUEEN
QUEEN

When it's right to break rules you just feel it !!! The scene was suitable for applying the rule of thirds (I actually took down a few frames) but it just didn't feel right ... "The boat should be placed at the middle of the synthesis", was my very next thought ...
When I saw the captured frame at Olympus screen I knew I had it right .... Sometimes my friends when a frame is actually bursting with interesting visual information, you have to bring balance ... The placing of the boat at the center of the synthesis actually brought that balance ... The forced use of flash turned the what would otherwise be leafy shades into full of life, vivid green color leafs at the foreground (when one decides to break synthesis rules, one should never break them all together) ... et voila !!!!
Ah, by the way, use your tripod as much as you can !!!! It's truly invaluable !!!!
We are still looking at the port of Amfipolis, Alexander the Great's most beloved marine location !!!!!
EXIF: High end compact Olympus Digital Camera SZ-31MR , Program Mode, f 3, Focal Length 4,5 mm, ISO 80, Pattern metering mode, light source fine weather, manually adjusted white balance, auto focus mode, HDR processing accurately conveys the scene's lighting conditions to the viewer, shutter speed 1/1000 s, use of tripod, flash went off to capture front-line detail...

I finally have some free time that I can spend with my bike and my camera ;)
I really got up early to get on top of the Feldberg before sunrise. It was a really clear sky all the way up, but the top was hanging in the fog. So I couldn't do any sunrise shots, but there where plenty other opportunities.
This was shot at the Feldsee which is a lake directly underneath the highest mountain of the Black Forest.
With some guidance from Chris & Christian the other flicker members on our photowalk, they helped me set up this nice HDR shot of the arches and stair entrance at the old UP RR Station in Omaha, NE.
My second attempt at crafting a landscape image using multi-exposure blending and software to create what is often referred to as a High Dynamic Range (HDR) photo.....
There is a HDR group here on Flickr that helped me learn how to do this at:

El día pasado me enteré de que existía un grupo de fotos HDR en flickr, y tirando-tirando pues me he puesto a salsear con el asunto. Este resultado es curioso, aunque queda batante para depurar la técnica.
(y otro grupo, este de DRI, que creo que es lo mismo :o$)
