Thought I'd revisit my last attempts on this at a slightly different angle and also dropped the ISO to 100 [I think I used 400 last time].
This dropped the noise quite a bit but brought out the failings in my tripod as the +2EV exposure lasted 3.2s and it was very windy so there was just a little more blurring in the longer exposure despite weighing the tripod down.
Silver Run Falls is just off the highway and drops into a nice pool used for summer swimming.

This is from a cape trip a couple of months back. This is back to my normal "HDR as a sledgehammer" approach. :)
First, I love Texas. I'm from Kansas and in Kansas when its abandoned they bulldoze it and plant grain over the top of it. I have explore much of the area around Dallas and never a day of exploring goes by that I don't find an abandoned beauty virtually unmolested.

This HDR photo of the observation tower at Battery 234 located on the grounds of Fort Pickens on the West end of Santa Rosa Island Florida. Photographed (5 exposures) with the Canon 5DM3 using the Canon 17-40mm f/4L Lens. Post processing was done with Lightroom and Photomatix.
