View of the Shelby Street Bridge and the Pinnacle Tower. Taken from the East bank of the Cumberland River down on the rocks on the shore. Still hard to believe that just under four months ago this area was underwater.

Railroad bridge crossing the River in Talkeetna, AK

The Bayside marketplace on the left. Taken from the 30th floor of an apartment. I really like the shadows of the buildings on the water.

"Circa 1812, Mr. Lamkin, later editions. US 29 business approximately 0.25 miles south of Virginia 130 / 669.

"Now almost lost among late-twentieth-century big-box commercial structures along this highway, this is the largest of Lamkin's buildings. The tavern was a stage stop with a bar in the basement. From the early nineteenth century when houses were built on raised, usable basements, dining rooms lost their colonial place of honor and moved to the basement and, as here, sometimes tavern bars did too. The two-story brick tavern, originally rectangular and only five days wide, nevertheless is stylistically allied with the larger and more complex Edgewood in Amherst. Both are carefully crafted neoclassical buildings with a two-story, three bay central portico crowned with a pediment."

I went to Marburg yesterday and decided to take some images for HDR.

I don't use fully automated tools like Photomatix but Photoshop only. I wrote a short tutorial on how to create a HDR image with Photoshop easily. Just visit My Blog to read it.

Walking towards the windows section of Arches National Park, crowds started to diminish with a storm brewing above. I took the gamble of sticking it out with little rain drops falling and the cold wind followed after it. This moment seen here was pretty epic. Silently standing before the second window here, all I can think of how amazing this place is and how many millions of times the earth had to spin for this to naturally form. Time and erosion will happen, but remember the moment you had, before it is lost forever. @archesnps .

First HDR attempt with canon EOS 40D

These are more from my ongoing HDR Series of photography. These are not completely finished. There is still some post production work that needs to be done - touching up edges, color correcting, etc. But I figured I would upload for a bit of feedback first. Also the titles used are more descriptions. Proper titles will be added later

The unfortunate thing is that you cannot get the full effect of the photos on a computer screen. When these are printed, they are printed on a Fuji metallic paper, which gives a nice metallic sheen to the print. They will be printed in two sizes - 20 X 30 Inches, and 30 X 40 Inches. At some point I will have these for purchase on my website, but if anyone has any questions, you can email me at info@workhorsevisuals.com or through my workhorsevisuals.com website
