I decided to go out to Grand Haven tonight for the sunset. Now this is not too bad with the clouds but about an hour before this time the clouds were really fantastic. Then as I am driving towards Grand Haven all the puffy beautiful clouds disappeared. I tried something different while shooting the sunset here tonight, instead of standing on the beach I decided to see what I could do while walking the pier.

Cuckmere Haven is an area of flood plains in Sussex, England, where the river Cuckmere meets the English Channel between Eastbourne and Seaford.
The sinking late afternoon sun lights the tops of the rocky coastline at North Haven, Aberdeenshire.

Nestled in the upper reaches of Sand Haven Greek Aenon Baptist Chapel or (Sandy Chapel) sits little more than one meter above the high tide mark.
The land is known to flood during extreme high tides especially with high winds pushing in off the North Atlantic when storm surge can raise sea levels by an extra meter.

Another perspective of Haven Brow from my February shoot. This particular image was taken a little further back as I was drawn to the curve of the pebbled bank and the groyne running across the out flowing River Cuckmere.
