Titchfield Haven Nature Reserve is a wetland nature reserve with a rich habitat of rivers, marshlands and scrapes. It is excellent for birdwatching and attracts many people hoping to spot a rare species. From any of the eight easy-to-access viewing hides visitors can see all kinds of wildlife such as deer, foxes and wetland plants. The reserve is a wonderful place to escape from the busy towns and cities and to reconnect with nature.
An impressionist view from the shore of one of the largest lakes at Plantsbrook Nature Reserve. A haven for wildlife, and one of my favourite places to walk with Marnie and my camera.

Many thanks, as always, for having a look and for your kind comments and faves -- I really do appreciate them all.
Thank you, everyone, who helped my picture into Explore on 12 August 2021 - I'm delighted and honoured !
The Reserve covers 369 acres of the Meon Valley, encompassing a mosaic of natural habitats. River, fen, pools, reedbed and meadow are carefully managed, giving protection to a range of special wildlife.

We did the Seven Sisters walk from Beachy Head to Cuckmere Haven which was pretty tiring but there some great views to be seen on the way.

One more photo from the trip to the north of Russia. The night of that rainy and hard day was peaceful and beautiful. Even high grass and stones didn't disturb our sleep. Zenith MC Zenitar-C Canon 16 mm F/2.8 Fisheye, HDR.
Thank you for all the comments and favs, my friends.
The Grand Haven light at the end of the south pier being besieged by waves. The catwalk was designed for just this type of weather, so that the light was accessible to the keeper, who would otherwise be swept into L. Michigan by the waves.

This photo was shot in False Kiva in Canyonlands National Park, a cave in a remote mountain area in the park. The stone cycle was an ancient ruin of tribes, and was used for their religious ceremony. The photo shows the connection between haven and ruins. The scene just looked like an heavenly eye staring at the ancient ruins....
I don't get as excited about these gales with all the erosion that we've had over the past couple years, but the power of the Great Lakes is incredible to see.
