Evidence still remains of the only hate-crime vandalism I ever saw in my hometown of Arcadia, California, from the early 1980's, I believe, which was when the demographics of my neighborhood first started to change as wealthy Asian families began moving in, often recent immigrants. I remember the paint was bright blue. I would have seen it on the way to church or to baseball practice at the elementary school across the street. And the unfortunate part is that when they painted over it, they traced the graffiti exactly, but in paint that didn't quite match, so it always showed. It has probably been painted over entirely a few times since then, but it still shows.

Dogs, like humans, seem to either like being photographed, or hate being photographed. Boots "the dog" falls into the latter category, and is notoriously difficult to capture. Today, however, we went for a very long hike on a trail that was quite difficult to follow in places due to the hilly conditions and the deep drifted snow. After about two hours, we found a great place to stop and rest. Boots, being short, was probably even more exhausted than the humans and couldn't be bothered, or couldn't find the strength to avoid me and my camera any longer. Naturally, I took advantage of this opportunity and shot a series of portraits.

Redneck Angus has to save the world from ...yeah you guessed it. At first glance, our hero Angus seems to be as dim as a glow worm's armpit, but to save the world he has to get from his cozy couch and get his guns in row, he is our only hope. Though the situation looks like a pretty straight forward run and gun scenario Angus has to make a lot of tactical choices along the way. He also has to choose his weapons with care, you never know when you run out of bullets.

My muscles were sore from restarting my workout after a 1-month break.

29.04.24. The strange (and much hated) set of statues on the roofline balustrade of the Victoria Shopping Centre (only really visible from the pedestrian over-bridge). Erected in 1992, they are said to depict (from nearest to furthest):
