I liked this shop a lot better when it was Used Rubber. I think I even liked it better when it was Compound Records. Between the late, unlamented Future Primitive (and its successor, the post-ironically named Lower Hater) and Upper Playground, it's hard to say who did more to import a noxious Williamsburg vibe into my neighborhood.

Today, we picked up some Smart Doll goodies : a weather cap and a "Haters Gonna Hate" shirt.
I'll admit that sometimes, I can be very lazy redoing Aisha's hijab. So I was basically looking for an excuse on how to just stick on her head without much styling. The cap covers the seam line perfectly. So now, Aisha can go around town looking like a cute hijabi hipster ;)

I did not take this. I found it on my camera when I got home one night. Which means my son got a hold of it. He knows I hate clowns. He knows I hate that mask.
And seriously - this thing was HUGE. Over 2in incl the legs.
