This is a 2011 Mazda 2, Mazda's subcompact model , with a small but peppy 1.5-liter four and a combined city/highway rating of 32 mpg. The Mazda 2 enjoyed a brief vogue in America when gas prices were higher, but the car has since been discontinued in the U.S. Small cars save money on gas, and when gas is cheap, the savings are exponential, but no one thinks like that in the States. That's why Mazda pushes crossovers these days.
