Happy Slider Sunday!

I think the people with Hat's draw my eye to capture the images. Why the hat? Not sure, but I think that is what makes these different.

I got this hat for a good friend on my latest travel to Trinidad. I’m sure he’d approve of my using it for a travel photo or fashion statement, lol. I don’t travel as much as I use to given to some health issues in last few years. That’s subject to change so stay tuned. Thanks for viewing my photos. Gratitude and Kindness make for good traveling companions.

Yes, it is mine...you know how you buy that piece of clothing in a foreign country because it looks so right there but on returning home you realize you will never wear it.

Well one year I was in London in January when Harrods had their crazy clearance sales, and the hat was just so fascinating. The next day the reality of packing it for the return trip hit me and I finally had to give up and wear it home.

This is where it all paid off. While I was waiting to board, the gate counter called me up and asked if I would mind being bumped to FIRST CLASS...not Business, but FIRST CLASS. Would I mind??? Well what an eye opener to see how the privileged travel. Most of my fellow first classer's were a rock band and their leggy blonde girlfriends, but it didn't interfere with my best flight ever (and I have been flying internationally since I was 7). It had to be the HAT! So every now and then I pull the hat from the back closet and dream about being bumped to first class again (which of course has never repeated)...hmm maybe I should start wearing it for all my flights.

Thank you so much for your visit!

Happy weekend everyone! Another photo from our Springtime camping weekend. This time processed with my very first, very own texture. How exciting. It was fun to do and I welcome any and all feedback. How do I make this better??

We're scorching here in the UK this weekend. High 80's and no a/c. No complaints from me though...Long live summer!

ps. that would be MY hat she claimed as her own! :)

Magdalenengarten Fest is an yearly flowers and related to Hildesheim esp. roses festival. I like to enjoy it just to meet other people who produce f.e. marmelade, honey, tee, flower matter or so on. i am not a big friend of high manipulated food...

Thank you for visiting,

Gabriel

A man in a bowler hat on Whitehall - he looked like he’d stepped out of a different time period. I shot through the glass of a bus shelter, which added to the out-of-kilter feeling, I think.

#50 Hats off - 52 in 2020 Challenge

At our local farmers market, once a year they have a Herb Fest. Lots of local growers with everything from Basil to Tarragon. Its pretty crowded and a fun thing to go to. People come from all around to get herbs for the spring season. Great event. Who knows why but straw hats just started to pop out from everywhere to my eye. Sorry about the low resolution but it was a fun shot opportunity.
