WIT: No idea how to get into Explore, but I tried to meet 3 of the 5. To me, this photo has good light (not amazing), looks fairly okay in the thumbnail, may cater to the senses with seemingly harmonized color. So, in the end, I've posted a somewhat maybe explore-able photo, and I'm sure of that.

The main bead - "Two Eyes" Agate Pure dZi bead.

Two eyes in Tibet denote the masculine and feminine principles in the world and the harmony between them. This is also the concept of Yin Yang in Feng Shui.

Many call it the "bead of LOVE". It is believed that the bead attracts love and partners, builds relationships. This is only partly true. First of all, the bead harmonizes the internal balance of male and female, then the surrounding space reacts accordingly. Thanks to inner harmony, existing relationships are normalized and what was previously empty is filled. Updates in life will not keep you waiting if you wear a 2-eyed Pure bead all the time.

Black round beads - Shungite, I want to write a little more about this stone:

Karelian SHUNGITE is a Precambrian rock, which in composition and properties is intermediate between Diamond and Graphite. It got its name from the village "Shunga" in Karelia, where it is still mined. Later, Zazhogino and other deposits were also discovered.

Since ancient times, even before scientists and chemists became interested in this stone, Shungite was used in Russia for filtering and structuring water. (in ancient times it was called the Aspid stone or Paragon).

Now it is also used in medicine, in particular in pharmacology - a whole range of gastric absorbents, ointments, and masks are produced on the basis of Shungite.

Scientists have recently discovered the ability of Karelian Shungite to neutralize the radiation of electronic signals and monitors.

In the scientific community, opinions previously differed about the harm caused to people by "radio wave sickness" and about the degree of danger to humans from household electrical appliances. Most research scientists note the negative effect from the use of objects that exceed the norm of the electromagnetic flux.

The Door of the Conception (1895–1927), (Puerta de la Concepción) opens onto the Court of the Oranges (Patio de los Naranjos) and is kept closed except on festival days. It was designed by Demetrio de los Rios and finished by Adolfo Fernandez Casanova in 1895. It was built in the Gothic style to harmonize with the rest of the building.

Museum of Ethnography Budapest Hungary

The new building of the Museum of Ethnography in Budapest City Park (Városliget) was opened 2022. The award-winning new museum building – which is part of Europe’s largest urban-cultural development called Liget Budapest Project has dynamic yet simple lines simultaneously harmonized with the park environment and communicating with the surrounding urban area.

The collection, which comprises 250.000 items from the Carpathian Basin and from every corner of the world, has been hosted by various facilities since its establishment in 1872, but never in its history did it operate in a building designed specifically to cater to its needs. The project was one of over 1700 entries from 115 countries. According to the decision of an international jury, the competition was won by the Hungarian architectural studio, Napur Architect (beating leading world-class architect studios such as Zaha Hadid, BIG), whose building is distinguished by a dynamic yet simple design harmonized with the natural environment of the park while communicating with the urban texture of its surroundings. The gently curving lines enable the building to function as a gateway and a passage linking the city and the park. Sixty percent of the structure is under ground level, and thanks to the landscaped roof and the transparency of the sections over the ground, the new museum is adapted to its environment in its scale too. The grass-covered roof area will be a pleasant community space awaiting visitors to Városliget.

The spectacular trademark of the building is the glass curtain wall surrounding the landscaped roof garden, reminiscent of two intertwined hillsides, with a unique characteristic, consisting of nearly half a million pixels, a raster made by metal grid based on ethnographic motifs selected from the museum's Hungarian and international collections.

The new functions and flexible spaces of the modern and state-of-the-art museum building will facilitate the understanding of the historical heritage embodied by the collection as well as the various aspects of contemporary society. Besides passing down this historical heritage, the realization of more recent professional and research themes and perspectives continues to be among the priority objectives of the museum, as confirmed by its mission. The creatively built spaces will open up new opportunities to communicate with visitors, enabling the presentation of the everyday objects, phenomena, and ideas of the past and the present side by side.

When I saw these birds sitting, nearly unmoving and quite uncharacteristically quiet, I had this very strong ANTONIO GAUDI feeling, but after I 'converted' the quite colourful photo to B&W and Sepia; the 'treatment' took the shine off GAUDI, sinces he was known as the Catalan artist with the most expressive architectural style, wavy façades, strong colours....! Following that mental excursion, my mind drifted back to the word Fugue.... or here Fugue for Pigeons - and if this doesn't make any sense to you, there probably isn't any to be had!!!! And if all this sounds strange, forgive me - maybe I just haven't got any brain left.... right now - understandably under all the given circumstances!

Ah, maybe that's why you get a 'grey' photo today, because MY grey matter is all gone into that shot!!!! :)))) Which would mean that there's still hope for me....

Laos has remained virtually unchanged for half a century. Rich in history and culture, Laos and its peoples, more than 47 ethnic groups, harmonize life to ancient rhythms and traditions that evoke timeless Asia. Although the trappings of the modern world are becoming increasingly visible, Laos remains the least developed country in Southeast Asia. A country where experienced travelers will appreciate breathtaking scenery and ofcourse the friendly people.

It took us about 6 ½ hours for the approximately 230 km bus trip from Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang. The scenery was very good, Limestone mountains jutting sharply above the flat river valleys. The scenery got even better the further north we went, rolling high hills and scattered farms and villages. This snapshot was taken from our bus window on our way to the capitol of north central Laos. In Laos, a significant number of Hmong people live in the mountainous regions. The Hmong support themselves with their small vegetable gardens. They do sell their vegetables direcctly along the road to Luang Prabang. I love the scene with the three kids ;-)

In Laos zijn zo'n twintig natuurgebieden die door de overheid zijn aangewezen als National Protected Area. Door deze bescherming wordt het unieke landschap en de flora en fauna zoveel mogelijk behouden De gebieden bestaan uit tropische regenwouden, kalkstenen rotsformaties, inheemse flora en fauna en andere wildlife. Zeker voor de avontuurlijke reiziger herbergt dit land een grote hoeveelheid aan onontdekte natuurschatten, vriendelijke mensen en een gevoel dat veel nog ' puur' is.

Abandoned with the house. Waterloo Village, NJ. i think it was the same house as the previous cool stairway shot....only peering in the back window instead of the front.

If i could play any instrument it would be the piano....it makes my heart happy. i am also a huge fan of the drums:)

Not much to say about this shot, other than I KNEW i had to try and capture this....and that it was going to be a royal pain, since all the windows with a vantage point to do it had screens on them. Thus the strange slightly geometric overlay....which i did all i could do to get rid of or at least minimize! Made me nuts, in and out of several edit programs....suffice it to say i was learning as i worked!

Anyway....Happy St Patrick's Day from me and the old decrepit green piano, that i think is pretty darned cool!

Image processing: image obtained from my footage at the singer/percussionist Franck Armocida. I superimposed one photo on the "Voices for Freedom" by Amnesty Int. poster and harmonized the background with the same main colour orange. Then I used paintbrush to draw on the background and the model is indicating the title of the important event while on his left side there is the logo (Med Free Orchestra) of his band that has been special guest. This footage has taken place just after their concert in a very friendly environment & mutual collaboration. Thanks!

The song "'Ho Oponopono" prayer has been played & performed by the great "Med Free Orkestra". As per the lyrics, the old traditional hawaian prayer sung in many languages & mixed with the "Prayer to the Mediterranean" (also known as "Mare nostrum" poem) written by Erri De Luca, has been performed, recited&sung by the unique voice of the artist singer & percussionist Franck Armocida (photographed by me for the video cover).

I recorded it live and then remixed & edited in studio in less than 2 days. I gave the priority to the quickness in order to release & publish it when the event "Voci per la Libertà" was still in progress so I cared less the precision in details. Anyway, I'm kinda satisfied of the audio. This was possible because I have been allowed to reach the best acustic position to record the video & because of the amazing talented workers in the sound engineering of this event. Petticoats and Pants - Man Wearing Kilt, Woman Wearing Suit 1918

Judge Magazine, June 1, 1918 cover

Between 1917 and 1919, Judge, a popular humor magazine, published six Rockwell covers, including Petticoats and Pants. This painting was completed at the very cusp of Rockwell's burgeoning career and was published a month after Germany failed to halt U.S. troops from crossing the Atlantic in the midst of World War I. The painting is a charming example of two distinctive fashion statements, upturning expectations of how opposite sexes prototypically dress at a time when fashion was not as fluid as it is today. However, those differing fashion trends calmly blended on the cover of Judge magazine and emerged as a witty and unique Rockwellian juxtaposition. Many of Rockwell's later images featured similar comparisons of incongruous ideas, which when conjoined, harmonized to create ironic and comedic views of the world.

On deviously swift streams, nimble families leave for distant fields never seen by infrequent visitors. In Laos, a significant number of Hmong people live in the mountainous regions. The Hmong support themselves with their small vegetable gardens here along various rivers in the forestry nearby Vang Vieng.

Along the way to the morning market we met this friendly old woman. While enjoying the moment I took a quick snapshot. She is collecting her vegetables for the morning market in Vang Vieng. The market is located five kilometers north of the town. Many Lao people support themselves. Such hard life for this elderly women where life expectancy is 59 years (est. 2008) .

Laos, one of the world's few remaining Communist regimes, is also one of Asia's poorest nations. The current government came to power in 1975 and immediately imposed a rigid socialist economic program. Change began in 1986 with the loosening of restrictions on private enterprise. Since then, Laos has enjoyed high economic growth, despite poor national infrastructure and a dominant, inefficient agriculture sector. It is also heavily reliant on international assistance programs. In 1998, Laos began formal negotiations with the World Trade Organization. In 2008 a 5.60 US$/day per capita.
