"hatred paralyzes life; love releases it. hatred confuses life; love harmonizes it. hatred darkens life; love illuminates it."

~ martin luther king, jr.

Elementals represent an evolution divergent from that of humans. They are the metaphysical forces behind nature which assist earth’s ecology to function better. Their realms are harmonized into the earth but are not composed of the gross matter that constitutes humans.

For me architecture , is not only about a house or a building, but often about the environment that the man-made structures create. After all, the man-made environment surrounding us greatly impacts how we feel.

This is an art too often neglected in modern Australian city and town planning. So I feel it is important to those in charge of the planning our habitats to visit more traditional places (Austria in this case) to internalise how much a harmonized environment can add to the quality of our lives

Two Magellanic Penguins (Spheniscus magellanicus) harmonize prior to going to sea. After these two started as many as eight more came and they all brayed in unison. These penguins sound like a jackass. Image taken on Sea Lion Island in the Falkland Islands.

This outfit, while cute, isn't my own personal taste overall. It's nice enough but the white pants with this top was too bright for me, (especially with the white shoes!) so I switched out her bellbottom slacks for barbie basics jeans and it all harmonizes better for me. She also acquired a treasures bracelet.

Though often red and white or all red, some are pure white, here harmonizing with swaying leaves of green.

A gentle whistle, a passionate guitar strum, a bold aria, a mesmerizing percussion, are just a few of the many expressions of love.

There are three ducks in this photograph :))

In the midst of our chaotic world, there exist a matrix of geometric shapes and patterns

that harmonize our natural world. However, we need a sense of natural order to perceive the beauty from within. ~m

Laos has remained virtually unchanged for half a century. Rich in history and culture, Laos and its peoples, more than 47 ethnic groups, harmonize life to ancient rhythms and traditions that evoke timeless Asia. Although the trappings of the modern world are becoming increasingly visible, Laos remains the least developed country in Southeast Asia. A country where experienced travelers will appreciate breathtaking scenery and ofcourse the friendly people.

It took us about 6 ½ hours for the approximately 230 km bus trip from Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang. The scenery was very good, Limestone mountains jutting sharply above the flat river valleys. The scenery got even better the further north we went, rolling high hills and scattered farms and villages. This snapshot was taken from our bus window on our way to the capitol of north central Laos. A nice view of the curving Nam Khan river valley.

In 2013, the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea opened a new branch in Sogyeok-dong, Jongno-gu at the former site of the Defense Security Command. The announcement for the construction of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul (MMCA Seoul) came out in 2009, and the architecture for the museum was selected through idea proposals and an architectural design competition in 2010. What makes the Seoul branch different from the others is that it introduced Korea’s traditional architectural concept of ‘madang’, which is a spacious courtyard where people can come in and gather together to socialize. MMCA Seoul's building is also designed to harmonize with the surrounding nature around the city.

Equipped with facilities including a reference center, a project gallery theater and a multipurpose hall, MMCA Seoul strives to accommodate every mode of new artistic endeavor and to communicate with the public. The site is where Korea’s historical and political developments were achieved. Most of the old buildings are gone but a few still remains to remind people of its significant role.

El Born is a trendy little area in Barcelona, filled with interesting restaurants and shops, and a beautiful light airiness. It was a pretty dramatic contrast to the neighboring Barri Gòtic, all mysterious and moody, where we had spent the afternoon. We had just finished dinner at Taller Tapas (Tapas Workshop), when we decided to have a seat on some shallow stairs to do some people watching. I was struck by the light and colors in the view . . . this woman serendipitously moved into the frame as I snapped the photo. She harmonized perfectly!

Don't confuse them with regular Punks. It's more a mix of Gothic and Punk.

You won't see them begging for money and they don't wear old second hand clothes. This girl wears three layers of tights, carefully ripped up, that are harmonized with her make up.

In the heart of nature, the cascade pours its soul, weaving tales of time and persistence. Every drop becomes part of an orchestra, harmonizing with the rocks and foliage. It is a dance of elements, a song of serenity, reminding us of the beauty in life's relentless flow.

When the crypt doors creak

And the tombstones quake

Spooks come out for a singing wake

Happy haunts materialize

And begin to vocalize

Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize

Now don't close your eyes

And don't try to hide

Or a silly spook may sit by your side

Shrouded in a daft disguise

They pretend to terrorize

Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize

As the moon climbs high o'er dead oak tree

Spooks arrive for the midnight spree

Creepy creeps with eerie eyes

Start to shriek and harmonize

Grim grinning ghosts come out socialize

When you hear the knell of a requiem bell

Weird glows gleam where spirits dwell

Restles bones etherealize

Rise as spooks of every size

Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize

Grim grinning ghosts come out

Grim grinning ghosts come out

To socialize

This was what I wore to the Gala Night of To Kill A Mockingbird, a Springer play for which I designed the costumes. Unwittingly, Kathy (Bai Mianxi) and I created kimono outfits that harmonized perfectly! Thus, as Kathy called it, a "kimono duet."

Photo taken in a small village of Ban Thieng - Laos. Enthusiastic children showing their selfmade automobiles and will be keen to try out their few words of English on you. When school is out, you may be lucky enough to see the boys playing a spectacular fast moving version of volley ball in which only the feet are allowed to touch the woven rattan ball.

Children spent the day at school, and by the afternoon they were doing the chores required of them…building a fire for the kitchen, sweeping the leaves into a pile, or caring for the young siblings strapped to their back …young boys and girls from the age of seven or eight attentive to the baby’s every need. Amongst this was the laughter of children playing in the village. Proudly showing their selfmade automobiles..

Not sure why, but even before I took this shot I already decided this will only be in black and white, though the colors are just beautiful that day......call it foolhardiness then....

The cranes and heavy machinery on the horizone sort of balanced-out the sun on the left, guess it mirrors the state of the environment today the delicate balance of harmonizing urbanisation while preserving our fragile ecosystem.

I wish I could go out of the bus to take some better photo's, but a window shot was all I got.

Active Assignment Weekly: Expore-ability

Your assignment this week is to take a photograph that captures at least 3 of these criteria:

1) Very captivating thumbnail (without having to see all the details of the picture at a larger size)

2) Eye candy (high desirability and attraction – caters to one’s emotions and senses)

3) Amazing light

4) Color harmonization and contrast

5) Novelty subject (something unusual, cute, extraordinary, artistic, humorous, etc.)

Restriction: Limited Post Processing

WIT: No idea how to get into Explore, but I tried to meet 3 of the 5. To me, this photo has good light (not amazing), looks fairly okay in the thumbnail, may cater to the senses with seemingly harmonized color. So, in the end, I've posted a somewhat maybe explore-able photo, and I'm sure of that.

The main bead - "Two Eyes" Agate Pure dZi bead.

Two eyes in Tibet denote the masculine and feminine principles in the world and the harmony between them. This is also the concept of Yin Yang in Feng Shui.

Many call it the "bead of LOVE". It is believed that the bead attracts love and partners, builds relationships. This is only partly true. First of all, the bead harmonizes the internal balance of male and female, then the surrounding space reacts accordingly. Thanks to inner harmony, existing relationships are normalized and what was previously empty is filled. Updates in life will not keep you waiting if you wear a 2-eyed Pure bead all the time.

Black round beads - Shungite, I want to write a little more about this stone:

Karelian SHUNGITE is a Precambrian rock, which in composition and properties is intermediate between Diamond and Graphite. It got its name from the village "Shunga" in Karelia, where it is still mined. Later, Zazhogino and other deposits were also discovered.

Since ancient times, even before scientists and chemists became interested in this stone, Shungite was used in Russia for filtering and structuring water. (in ancient times it was called the Aspid stone or Paragon).

Now it is also used in medicine, in particular in pharmacology - a whole range of gastric absorbents, ointments, and masks are produced on the basis of Shungite.

Scientists have recently discovered the ability of Karelian Shungite to neutralize the radiation of electronic signals and monitors.

In the scientific community, opinions previously differed about the harm caused to people by "radio wave sickness" and about the degree of danger to humans from household electrical appliances. Most research scientists note the negative effect from the use of objects that exceed the norm of the electromagnetic flux.

Below is a link to research by scientists on the effect of Karelian Shungite on irradiated mice.

No "magic". These are the results of scientific experiments on the therapeutic effect of Karelian Shungite. Not very humane experiments on irradiation of laboratory mice, scientific evidence with accurate measurements, tables, formulas, and numbers. This is something that can be trusted unconditionally. Dry scientific facts. This work was supported by the Yonsei University Research Fund of 2016. Published in Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity in 2017.
