The Historic Centre of Brugge illustrates continuity on an urban site that has been occupied since the early Middle Ages. Historical records of the town administration and regulations are condensed in the city records from the 13th century onwards.
An area of continuous settlement, the Historic Centre of Brugge has retained the original pattern of streets and places, canals, and open spaces. A very specific skyline of towers and taller civic buildings (such as the cathedral, the belfry and the churches) dominates the city. For the most part, buildings have retained the original parcels of land. The transformations that have taken place over time respect the functional changes in the town, and have become part of its historic authenticity, in a parallel way to other historic cities such as Siena in Italy.
The history of the town is well represented in the urban and architectural structures that harmoniously unify all periods of history since the origin of the city.
Since the second half of the 19th century, much attention has been paid to the history and the architecture of the town, and major debates about modalities followed the international trends in the field of restoration and conservation. This chronological and historical stratification is clearly recognizable in the urban morphology and architecture and is part of the present character of Brugge.

The "Pearls" race is a concept based on a series of French sci-fi comics written by writer Pierre Christin and artist Jean-Claude Mézières beginning in 1967. The movie was directed by Luc Besson (who also directed "The Fifth Element"), and is called "Valerian", which, despite its fabulous graphics, flopped at the box office. The Pearls are a harmonious, spectacularly beautiful race of people who are nearly wiped out by humans. However, the majority of the story deals with the humans, rather than the Pearls, which I found rather disappointing; I wanted to see much more of them...but I'd watch it all over again just to see the Pearls. Still, if you're willing not to have terribly high expectations, I think this movie is still enjoyable, despite its flaws.

Jvari Monastery (Georgian: ჯვრის მონასტერი) is a sixth-century Georgian Orthodox monastery near Mtskheta, eastern Georgia. Jvari is a rare case of an Early Medieval Georgian church that has survived to the present day almost unchanged. The church became the founder of its type, the Jvari type of church architecture, prevalent in Georgia and Armenia. Built atop of Jvari Mount (656 m a.s.l.), the monastery is an example of harmonious connection with the natural environment, characteristic to medieval Georgian architecture. Along with other historic structures of Mtskheta, the monastery was listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1994.
Photographed just outside the walled garden on the Llanachaeron estate (NT). Over 200 years old, Llanachaeron was self sufficient and the National Trust carry on maintaining the gardens and farm. The house was designed by John Nash in the 1790's.

Die Steinerne Brücke im Schlosspark Ludwigslust ist ein beeindruckendes Beispiel klassizistischer Gartenarchitektur. Sie gehört zu den vielen Highlights des weitläufigen Schlossparks, der den barocken Stil mit natürlichen Landschaftselementen verbindet.
Die Brücke ist aus hellem Naturstein gefertigt und zeichnet sich durch ihre elegant geschwungene Form sowie ihre harmonische Integration in die Parklandschaft aus. Sie überspannt einen der vielen Kanäle des Parks, der für seine raffinierten Wasserläufe und künstlichen Seen bekannt ist. Der Schlosspark Ludwigslust selbst wurde im 18. Jahrhundert angelegt und bietet Besuchern eine Mischung aus geometrischen Elementen und romantischen Ausblicken.

The Stone Bridge in Ludwigslust Palace Park is an impressive example of classical garden architecture. It is one of the many highlights of the expansive palace park, which blends Baroque style with natural landscape elements.
The bridge is made of light natural stone and is distinguished by its elegantly curved design and harmonious integration into the park’s scenery. It spans one of the many canals in the park, which is renowned for its intricate waterways and artificial lakes. Just another photo of Provincetown's main Pier. This shot was taken during off season for Cape Cod, as it is mainly a summer destination, and even though I was planning to come once again during summer time and see the pier full of people and all the stores in those huts open, it didn't happen this year. Perhaps next year. I will probably post one more photo of Provincetown as it is seen from the end of the pier with the hill and the Pilgrim tower overlooking the city.

Παροτι ηθελα να επιστρεψω αυτο το καλοκαιρι και να τραβηξω φωτογραφιες του λιμανιου γεματο κοσμο και με ολα τα μαγαζακι ανοιχτα, αυτο δε συνεβη φετος. Ισως του χρονου. Θα ανεβασω ακομη μια φωτο της πολης οπως αυτη φαινεται απο το τερμα του λιμανιου με το λοφους και τον Πυργο Pilgrim να δεσποζει πανω απο αυτην.

Most of the viewers of the three pictures in this series so far will have an idea of the motivation behind their creation. - Of course ... it is a feeling of powerlessness - in the face of the excessive handling of humanity with its only home: the earth. - I think, especially among photographers it is not necessary to go into detail. But if I am wrong, just looking at the environmental catastrophes owing to rising damage reports in the insurance industry is enough.
The pictures should not bring insects or spiders into disrepute. The motives are only symbolic of the many self-inflicted catastrophes, of which the species extinction is only one of many. - The idea for its creation is already months ago. But it was the expected amount of time that kept getting in the way of a start. - It is expected that there will be more in this series, but not in the short term.
Amongst some things that I have barely had any focus on in recent months is the production of my own musical ideas. Since this will change immediately, the number of less time-consuming image publications will probably thin out for some time.

Aber es war der zu erwartende Zeitaufwand, der einem Anfang immer wieder im Wege stand. - Voraussichtlich wird Weiteres in dieser Reihe entstehen, wenn auch nicht kurzfristig.
Unter Einigem, was ich in den vergangenen Monaten kaum noch im Fokus hatte, gehört die Produktion eigener musikalischer Ideen. Da sich das ab sofort ändert, wird das wohl auch die Zahl an weniger zeitintensiven Bildveröffentlichungen für einige Zeit deutlich ausdünnen.

Photographing at dawn
Dawn is a special time for photographers who want to capture atmospheric landscape images. The colors of the sky are soft and harmonious, the light is soft and diffuse, and nature slowly comes to life. But how can you photograph the dawn in the best possible way? Here are some tips that can help you.
- Plan ahead: find a suitable location from which you have a good view of the horizon. Find out the exact time of sunrise and be there at least half an hour before to set up and take advantage of the best lighting conditions - Use a tripod: since the light is still weak at dawn, you need a longer exposure time to capture enough detail. Therefore, to avoid camera shake, you should use a tripod. It also allows you to better frame the image and try different settings - Experiment with the aperture: The aperture affects the depth of field and the light intensity of your image. Depending on whether you want a sharp foreground or a blurred background, you can choose an open or closed aperture. An open aperture lets in more light, but reduces the depth of field. A closed aperture increases depth of field but decreases light - Play with exposure compensation: your camera's metering can be fooled by the bright light of the sky, resulting in dark or pale images. To avoid this, you can use exposure compensation to make the image brighter or darker. Positive exposure compensation makes the image brighter, negative exposure compensation makes it darker - Shoot in RAW format: RAW format stores more information than JPEG format and allows you to better post-process your image. For example, you can adjust the white balance to make the colors more natural or intense. Or you can increase the contrast to create more depth.
Dawn is a magical time that offers you many opportunities to express your creativity. Try different settings and perspectives and let the colors and moods inspire you. Have fun photographing!

Vischering Castle (Burg Vischering) in Lüdinghausen, North Rhine-Westphalia is the most typical moated castle in the Münster region of Germany. This region has one of the highest German concentrations of castles, palaces and fortifications, Lüdinghausen having three by itself. The castle consists of outer defensive courtyard, defensive gateways, moat, drawbridge, main building and chapel. The sandstone walls, the red tile roofs as well as their reflection in the moat provide many harmonious views from the wooded surroundings.
Vischering Castle was built by Bischop Gerhard von der Mark to counter the second castle built by the Von Lüdinghausen family. It became the seat of the Droste zu Vischering Family. Droste is the local title for the hereditary noble administrators serving the Bishops of Münster. The moat is constantly replenished by a side-arm of the River Stever. The outer defensive courtyard contains the business and farm buildings. The main building is a horseshoe-shaped three-story structure with heavy outer wall. Its inner courtyard is closed off by the chapel and a lower defense wall. A castle keep is missing, having been removed during Renaissance renovations. Fire destroyed the castle in 1521. Rebuilding took place on the existing foundation. Windows and the addition of a large bay made the castle more liveable but diminished its defensive character. The whole site however retains the character of a feudal age moated castle. Damage from air attack during World War II was minor.
Vischering Castle houses the Münsterlandmuseum, an exhibit on knighthood for children, as well as a cafe-restaurant. It serves as a cultural center for Kreis Coesfeld. Soesokkak Estuary, located at Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do looks like a cow lying down. It is a valley formed by flow of lava, and its geography is just as unique and interesting as its name implies. Soesokkak Estuary is also one of the hidden sceneries of Seogwipo, and the harmonious view of strange rock formations and pine tree forests is visually stunning.
