My neighbor had some trees cut down in order to make the forested property more fire safe. This is a cedar stump. I thought it was quite unusual, as cedars don't usually rot away inside, as do the oaks.

My "Rock Star" friends and I got together again to decorate "Happy Rocks" for a local festival. We place them under trees, on a bench, on a fencepost, etc. We've been doing it for 5-6 years now so folks look forward to it! Much fun! :)

Happy birthday to granddaughter, Isabell, today. Below is a collage of pics from her visit in July. My favorite Bell story is after several days of 24 hr. kitchen duties-breakfast, morning snacks, lunch, afternoon snacks, dinner, after dinner snacks, and still "I'm hungry, Grammie". Finally had to say, "The kitchen is CLOSED". Must have made quite an impression on Bell when getting up the next morning. The kids usually got up asking for porridge for the 3 bears (Lexi, Evan, & Bell), but instead Bell asked (with a worried expression on her face), "Grammie, is the kitchen still closed?". Brings a smile each time I get out the oatmeal, er...I mean porridge.

Ted and I are all prepared for Halloween Night!
And a few of our 'friends' have come out to celebrate with us too...
Everywhere we look at the moment there seems to be another one!
Ted's decided to wear his Buzz Lightyear suit again...
But I don't know WHAT has happened to his Eyes...
I'm almost too frightened to turn off the lights...
Cos there seem to be a lot of strange things...
'glowing in the dark' around here at the moment...
