Happy New Year!
New Year's breakfast, first meal of 2025.
We had fried mochi this morning, with soy sauce and wrapped in seaweed. I also put furikake and even tried one with cheese.

Happy Birthday to Griz who is now 11 years young and one of the best dogs we have ever owned. I sang Happy Birthday to him earlier this morning. ;-)

Hello dear friends...just a quick visit to wish, all you wonderful mothers out there, a magical Mothers' Day.
As Oprah once said, "being a mother, must be the hardest job!"
It isn't easy...it isn't a well paid job...but the rewards are so great that I went back for more.
I have 4 children but if I could have my time over, I would've had at least 6, even knowing what I know now!
A magical weekend to you all...spoil your mothers and to the men, spoil your wives too!

There's a ritual hanging of the new year's calendar; not that it matters so much with digital everything. But it is a handy graduated scratch pad to jot down the contents of the rain gauge — if there was anything to report!
This year, and for some arcane reason, the calendar is hung in the scullery — on the door to Cook's freezer, and held fast by a magnetic placard. I dare not ask.

"I play the most perverse, disturbing, disgusting, foul-mouthed leprechaun you could ever imagine," he said. "I've been kidnapped by Johnny Knoxville and Seann William Scott so they can get their pot of gold. They don't really quite realize what they've bargained for. They land themselves in a bit of trouble."
It gets better still. To fit into the shoes of a wee leprechaun, the famously buff star of "300" and "Gamer" will be swapping out his body for that of another actor for some CGI-assisted comedy.
"It's funny because we're using that technology from 'Benjamin Button' — what's the politically correct term? A little person? — and they're going to put my head onto the little person," Butler said. "It's very funny. It's insane."
Wait, are you messing with us? Is this a St. Patrick's Day prank or something?
"It's for real," the Scottish-born actor assured us. "You have to see it to believe it."

I did a photo shoot for a client today at a beach resort. This picture is from the shoot. I learnt shooting closed down on the aperture has its own advantages in good lighting conditions.
This picture is dedicated to every one of you. The things you have said, the things you have helped me here at flickr on my photography and the Joy you have brought into my life is something that i can never pay you for, its priceless.
Your friendship and love keeps me to step up and get better at what i do now with the camera. I wish every one of you here a very happy Friendship day. I intend to meet some friends tomorrow and give them flowers. I've always wanted to do this for every friendship day but i could not due to some reason or the other.
