Happy Halloween! In most years, Halloween season is big in Gettysburg. Numerous "ghost tours" or "ghostly walks in the cemeteries" are conducted by tour guides in period costumes. Actually the tours go on after dark all year in this site of the Gettysburg Battle of the Civil War, the deadliest battle on American soil.
In this picture, we were closed into the dark, damp basement of a bed and breakfast/restaurant that served as a hospital and sniper's tower in the 1860's Civil War battles. We were there for "ghost stories", and for some unknown reason the proprietors felt that this display, (the only lights in the basement) was spooky enough to harbor ghosts.
There were eight of us in the tour group...incredibly one nervous woman who sat in back, near a rattling steam pipe, "felt the presence" of a spirit. The ghost storyteller was pleased.

And why is she so happy? Because Florida won the National Championship in College Basketball last night, of course! Go Gators!! :) (I just had to throw that in here today sometime.)
Yesterday, we had the first snow of the season. It was rare to have snow in November here in Tokyo. (According to a record, we hadn't had snow in November in 54 years!) I took some snow from the ground to show Sachi, but he wasn't interested so much... :P
...and what better way to celebrate it than to share this photo of the rare and elusive Independence Skimmer. A beautiful dragonfly that strangely, and most appropriately, emerges only on July 4th each year.
No need to comment please...I simply want to wish everyone a Happy Independence Day, or July 4th Holiday in America as it's more commonly known. Have fun and be safe.

To end this roller coaster of 2020, I wanted to go with a formal "dress to the 9's" look to end it with a bang 💥
Reflecting back on 2020, this has been a trying year with milestones met and challenges faced head on. For me on a personal level, I am now more comfortable with my true self and have even come out to a few co-workers and family members on what my plans are over the next 5 years as Kris. With the support of my wife and close friends, road bumps and setbacks lay ahead but, I feel that I am ready to face this head on!
Remember we are only on this earth for so long, make the most of it for YOURSELF and not living for others expectations! Cut out the naysayers and negativity to attain your goals!
And on that bombshell (as Jeremy Clarkson would say lol), I want to wish everyone a happy, healthy and successful New Year! 💋🎆
