It took a few shots to get this one...

Alas, I don't get out at night often enough to have gotten the hang of focusing in low light. So this shot isn't exactly tack-sharp! But I was lucky in my location - the moon came up at just the right place.

Pre-Migratory Tree Swallows Gathering

Last week I met up with other members of my camera club to take pictures along a trail at Hammonasset. It was a windy evening but we were fairly sheltered along a short trail at Meig's Point, and we found lots of things to photograph.

This dragonfly typically shows up late summer into the fall.
