Praying mantis on Tujuh Duri Flower.
Mentadak ini saya shoot di suatu pagi ketika dia tengah melepak diatas bunga tujuh duri di halaman. Mentadak adalah model yang paling ideal untuk makro beginners sebab ia biasanya lambat nak bergerak apabila kita halakan lens kamera.
Flower arrangement
I took this picture some time ago , in the Philippines. This flower arrangement was used in a festival in Dolores , Quezon. In the tropics people work with flower arrangments many times, for the happy and for the sad moments , much more then we do in the western countries.
The flower which is most used in this arrangement is the Anthurium , in this case the lakanthurium , or in Latin : Anthurium andreanum , part of the family Araceae. The arrangement is , on the background , filled with green tropical leaves.

All the stamens of a flower are collectively called the androecium (plural androecia) this is sometimes referred to as the male part of the flower although strictly speaking only the gametes are male or female. A stamen consists of a filament and an anther. The anthers consist of four fused chambers called microsporangia. It is in these chambers that the pollen is produced which contains the male gametes and must be transferred to the pistil for fertilisation to take place. Some flowers bear only stamens and are sometimes referred to as male flowers, the correct term however is staminate.
Ang palay (genus Oryza) ay isang halaman sa pamilya ng mga damo na isang pangunahing pinagkukunan ng pagkain ng maghigit sa kalahati ng populasyon ng tao sa buong mundo. Nababagay ang pagbubungkal ng palay sa mga bansang may mababang gastusin sa paggawa at maraming presipitasyon, dahil nangangailan ito ng labis na paggawa at maraming tubig para sa irigasyon. Bagaman, maaaring tumubo kahit saan, kahit sa tabi ng matarik na burol. Ang palay ang ikatlong pinakamalaking paninim, pagkatapos ng mais at trigo. Kahit na tubo ito sa Timog Asya at ilang bahagi ng Aprika, naging karaniwan na sa maraming kultura ang pagkalakal at eksportasyon nito sa mga nakalipas na mga dantaon.
