Found this guy peering at me curiously from behind a Barn.
He did saunter over but I didn't get good shots .. was not sure what the etiquette was around shooting horses : )
Should I look for the owner and ask for permission? Was I disturbing the horses?

Coffee Guy's tent at the Coastal Growers Market. The line is long, but it moves quickly and it's worth the wait.
In the days when few people lived to old age a bust like this would have been unusual. He reminds me a bit of Sir John Gielgud, who played his share of Romans on film and on stage.
The plaque that accompanies this bronze work does not say how it was discovered, but it obviously had corroded a bit and the bottom part of it appears to have been more substantial. The crustiness does give it a fine patina of age. The Getty dates it to 90-110 CE.

A black piece of cloth on one of my walls in my bedroom. A couple of lights. Every person who comes to my place for drinks or anything else will have his / her portrait taken with my Mamiya C220 (f8, 1/30th of a second, Tmax 400, developed with LC29).

On 13th April 1570 in York, Guy Fawkes, also known a as Guido Fawkes was born. He adopted the name Guido while fighting for the Spanish in the Low Countries. He belonged to a group of provincial English Catholics who planned the failed Gunpowder Plot of 1605 a Catholic plot to kill James and members of parliament with aim of placing his daughter Elizabeth on throne as Catholic monarch. Tradition of Nov 5 bonfire with effigy of Pope started by James. The Plot resulted in the Popish Recusants Act of 1605.
The blue plaque outside the Guy Fawkes Inn on High Petergate reads as follows:
GUY FAWKES BORN HERE
APRIL 13th 1570
The notorious gunpowder plotter who attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament on November 5th 1605.
He was hung, drawn and quartered in Westminster London January 31st 1606.
