As you walk up the steps of the Victorian era house and open the screen door. You hear the spring stretch, you enter the house the aroma fill your senses. You walk into the parlor and sitting on the mantel you find this gem, a family treasure.
18-08-2012 Since medieval times announcements have been made on the 3 Saturday's running up to Guild week to herald its arrival. Today, the Guild Mayor made his announcements while street theatre entertained the crowds on Preston flag market.

April 22, 2022 - 16th Century Masons' Guild Hall located at Sint-Niklaasstraat 2, 9000 Gent, Belgium. I am not sure when the modern glass addition was added to the building. "The Masons’ Guild House was built in a flamboyant Gothic style opposite the Sint- Niklaaskerk to show off the stone carving skills of the city’s masons. It eventually disappeared behind a later building. People thought it had been demolished and so in 1913 a replica was constructed at Graslei 8. The original was later found during building work and six modern dancing figures were added at the top." Diane Melms, a local quilt artist, came to speak to the guild. She brought her work spanning many years back so that we could see her process and how she started designing the work she does today. Amazing!
We also had a great showing for the meeting and members showed some really great stuff!
