The idea for making this magazine cover were a bunch of tourists using flash while taking pictures of murals inside a tomb at Monte Albán in spite of the tour guide telling them not to. UV light and light in general greatly spead up the process of pigment deterioration in such murals so: people, NO FLASH PLEASE!

This is Nuri, our national-level tourguide. He travelled with us for the whole trip, arranging hotels, restaurants, and taking us through local sights. His knowledge was impressive, as were his wheeling and dealing skills. He had a weird tendency to repeat himself: "Casablanca is the largest city in Morocco...Casablanca is the largest city in Morocco...in Morocco..." Here he is holding something which looks like a salad ingredient and telling us what it is. I wasn't paying attention. Taken in the Tetuan medina.
