Republic Square, Yerevan, Armenia.
Republic Square is the central square of the city, created under the guidance of architect A. Tamanian in 1926. It was called Lenin Square until 1991. The square is well-known for its monumental national architecture. The square's shape is combined of two geometrical figures: an oval and a trapeze. Five buildings are included in the architectural complex.
From the east and west, the House of the Government of Armenia and the House of the Ministries are symmetrically located. On the wall of the House of the Government overlooking the square is the city chiming clock. The building includes some traditional decor elements. The columns and arches on the facades of the buildings are covered with subtle carving of ancient Armenian nature. The composition is completed with the building of Marriott Armenia Hotel, the House of Communication and the building of the Museum with fountains, which are lit at night, in front of them. The oval part of the square is distinguished by its beautiful mosaic decoration.
A Crazy Crusty paraphrase:

Let’s rebuild Great Atlantis in the plains of Great Babylon.
Let’s build a great temple at the top of the pyramid tower.
Then we will be the capstone of the pyramid,
and we will sit as gods.
Yet God caused them to babel,
and so the Tower was called Babel.
They wanted to take revenge for the flood,
yet their vengeance failed.
For God is higher than them, much higher;
for He is the all-seeing God.
Then came the Antichrist, a tyrant called the Beast.
“Called HE then on the powers the Seven Lords wielded;
changed the Earth’s balance.”
“Divided the Kingdoms, HE into sections.
Ten were they, ruled by children of men.”
The Beast with 7 heads and ten horns came out of the sea
to rebuild his lost kingdom of Atlantis.
Horlet, the spiritual harlot,
came riding on the Beast—Mystery Babylon.
“Follow the pathway. Solve thou my secrets.
Unto thee I have shown the way.”
Transhumanism (666): “As I to thee am a God by my knowledge,
so ye, too shall be Gods of the future
because of your knowledge far above theirs.”
You’ll be the bringers of light to the sons of men,
because you’ll have oneness with the Beast.
You’ll be one with the Master, dissolved into the light of the AI.

Indeed, the Dragon failed yet again.
For Jesus Christ is higher than him, much higher.
“The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand,
until I make thine enemies thy footstool.”
Therefore, Jesus reigned on earth for a thousand years.
His servants (the righteous)
were permitted to enter His millennial reign.
Those who were not His servants (the unrighteous)
were thrown into hell.
After the thousand years were up,
Satan was released from his prison.
Satan then went out and deceived the nations.
His goal was to rebuild Atlantis.
“They went up on the breadth of the earth
and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city.
And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them.”
“The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them.”
For God is higher than them, much higher; for He created all things.
It’s Atlantis all over again!
Bye-bye Atlantis. Bye-bye Emerald Tablets.
Bye-bye halls of Amenti. Bye-bye Thoth.
You’ll never be at the top of the pyramid.
Instead, you’ll be forgotten in eternity.

Not Just A Day
As Thanksgiving Day rolls around,
It brings up some facts, I have found
We may think that we're poor,
Feel like bums and insecure,
But in truth, our riches abound.
We have friends and family we love;
We have guidance from God above.
We have so much more
Than they sell in a store,
We're wealthy, when push comes to shove.
“So add up your blessings“, I say;
Make Thanksgiving last more than a day.
Enjoy what you've got;
And share it a lot
And you'll have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day

This is what all the current nest building is for ... this shot was taken in June 2013 while the parents at many of the nests along the rivers in Baltimore County performed neighborhood watch.
This is one of the nests that is out over open water on one of the many channel markers. If I am lucky I may get the chance to get out on a boat again to see what the children look like this year.
Over 50 years ago as a young farm teenager, baling hay, milking cows and cleaning out hog sheds by hand guided my career decisions more than almost anything. In this photo, the past and the present of farming lie side by side. Round bales replaced the back breaking work of loading and unloading bales on a hay trailer. Few windmills in Minnesota still pump water and the old graineries have been largely replaced by newer methods of drying crops.

Busitalia Veneto S.p.A. (a joint venture of Busitalia-Sita Nord -subsidiary of Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane- and APS Holding): since May 1, 2015, this joint venture operates the urban and suburban transport of Padova, replacing APS Mobilità, a public company owned by the municipality of Padova.
In the city of Padova there are one guided transport line of the Translohr system, a rubber-tired tramway developed by Lohr Industrie. It was commissioned in phases between the years 2007 and 2009. The service is provided by 16 trams of the STE3 model.
At the points where one rail crosses another, to maintain the continuity of the guidance, these mobile crossings have been installed.

We are one week away from the release of the first science-quality images from NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope, but how does the observatory find, and lock onto its targets? Webb's Fine Guidance Sensor (FGS) – developed by the Canadian Space Agency was designed with this particular question in mind. Recently it captured a view of stars and galaxies that provides a tantalizing glimpse at what the telescope's science instruments will reveal in the coming weeks, months, and years.
FGS has always been capable of capturing imagery, but its primary purpose is to enable accurate science measurements and imaging with precision pointing. When it does capture imagery, it is typically not kept: given the limited communications bandwidth between L2 and Earth, Webb only sends data from up to two science instruments at a time. But during the week-long stability test in May, it occurred to the team that they could keep the imagery that was being captured because there was available data transfer bandwidth.
The engineering test image – produced during a thermal stability test in mid-May – has some rough-around-the-edges qualities to it. It was not optimized to be a science observation, rather the data were taken to test how well the telescope could stay locked onto a target, but it does hint at the power of the telescope. It carries a few hallmarks of the views Webb has produced during its postlaunch preparations. Bright stars stand out with their six, long, sharply defined diffraction spikes – an effect due to Webb's six-sided mirror segments. Beyond the stars – galaxies fill nearly the entire background.
The result – using 72 exposures over 32 hours – is among the deepest images of the universe ever taken, according to Webb scientists. When FGS' aperture is open, it is not using color filters like the other science instruments – meaning it is impossible to study the age of the galaxies in this image with the rigor needed for scientific analysis. But: Even when capturing unplanned imagery during a test, FGS is capable of producing stunning views of the cosmos.
“With the Webb telescope achieving better than expected image quality, early in commissioning we intentionally defocused the guiders by a small amount to help ensure they met their performance requirements. When this image was taken, I was thrilled to clearly see all the detailed structure in these faint galaxies. Given what we now know is possible with deep broad-band guider images, perhaps such images, taken in parallel with other observations where feasible, could prove scientifically useful in the future,” said Neil Rowlands, program scientist for Webb’s Fine Guidance Sensor, at Honeywell Aerospace

This image: This Fine Guidance Sensor image was acquired in parallel with NIRCam imaging of the star HD147980 over a period of 8 days at the beginning of May. This image represents a total of 32 hours of exposure time at several overlapping pointings of the Guider 2 channel. The observations were not optimized for detection of faint objects, but nevertheless the image captures extremely faint objects and is, for now, the deepest image of the infrared sky. The unfiltered wavelength response of the guider, from 0.6 to 5 micrometers, helps provide this extreme sensitivity. The image is mono-chromatic and is displayed in false color with white-yellow-orange-red representing the progression from brightest to dimmest. The bright star (at 9.3 magnitude) on the right hand edge is 2MASS 16235798+2826079. There are only a handful of stars in this image – distinguished by their diffraction spikes. The rest of the objects are thousands of faint galaxies, some in the nearby universe, but many, many more in the high redshift universe.

This photograph was taken during our stay on the Caribbean island of Aruba in 2009. This is the Lourdes Grotto. From a website: The Lourdes Grotto, named in commemoration of the famous French religious landmark, was created under the guidance of a priest named "Erkamp" and parishioners in the year 1958. The grotto, a shrine built into the rocks is located in Seroe Preto, just off the main road to San Nicolas.
