Another continuation of “One Day.” Feeling remorse for what he’s done, he heard a faint voice coming from the deadwoods. It was the voice of the wise, and its words echoed, guided the lost man.
The face on the tree is based on someone’s face who is truly special to me. I wanted the tree to have soul in it, not just some face I randomly make. Otherwise it will be less meaningful to me.

This painting is called GUIDANCE and at the time I painted it I was In Scotland where I staged my last exhibition in the United Kingdom last spring.I had no idea but during the pre vernissage there were no less than FIVE people interested in it...it is a shame I never make copies of my paintings!!!!!Anyway it went to a person who deserves a bit of guidance in her life and I am happy she was the one who bought it out of the five.

A thunderhead makes its way over Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands on a warm, peaceful, starry summer night. My heaven on earth moment this weekend for sure!

Es difícil encontrar inspiración cuando tienes todo el día leyendo y presentando exámen en la universidad. Improvisé esto en el depa. Casi pierdo la publicación de hoy xD. Pero hey, salí bien en el exámen :D
Parents lead their signets back to the nest late evening at the local Curling Pond.
I taken a similar image at the same location a couple of years ago. That was slightly out of focus due to the shutter speed. This one taken after a couple more years experience under the belt.

Now at Emery, the Iowa Traction crew is using the IATR 51, 99 years young, to switch some of the cars near the railroad's headquarters and shops. Switching with these motors requires a watchful eye on the trolley poles, to ensure they follow the right route at a switch.

Here is a photo I took, on a trip to Wales back in January, which i have just recently found hidden away in my terribly un-organised desktop.
Decided to do a black and white long exposure for this, as the clouds was changing drastically on that day.

Walking frees up the body ... which allows the mind to settle ... nature enriches the soul and allows mind, body and spirit to work together
Sometimes it feels as if I'm directed to go to certain places at certain times to take certain pictures. Such was the case last evening when I had the spontaneous urge to grab the camera and head to the local cemetery. Upon my arrival I climbed to the top of a knoll in the old section. With no forethought I immediately focused in on a row of gravestones. A soft rain began just minutes later, but I was undeterred. (I actually enjoy shooting in the rain up to a point.) Anyway this rather mindless composition seemed not to be working however and I began to wonder why I even came here in the first place. Then I noticed the stone I was using to brace my elbow, the stone in the foreground of this photo. It was neither a very old stone in the context of this cemetery, nor particularly interesting. But I liked the way it glistened from the rain. I backed up a couple of feet and decided to feature it in the composition rather than use it to steady the camera. I fired off a few frames and that was it. I would normally have wandered around for another hour with the camera, but all my motivation seemed to drain away. Whatever brought me here was apparently satisfied with the image I captured.
