The geese are pretty much used to people, seeing as they live very close to where I work. Though that still doesn't prevent them from giving passers-by the evil eye - especially when a) they're bringing up goslings and b) spot that said person is not carrying any food.

I will give the secrets you request
And you will be the one to sacrifice
So lay your olive arms upon my breast
And sing the poems, free the butterflies
Pray your gods who ask you for your blood
For they are strong and angry jealous ones
Or lay upon my altar now your love
I fear my time is short
There are armies moving close
Be quick, my love
I feel my body weakened by the years
As people turn to gods of cruel design
Is it that they fear the pain of death
Or could it be they fear the joy of life
Pray your gods who hold you by your fear
For they are quick and ruthless punishers
Or lay upon my altar now your love
I fear my day is done
There are armies moving on
Be quick, my love

Sleepy Hollow Lighthouse (aka Tarrytown Lighthouse and Kingsland Point Lighthouse) This light was once a half-mile off shore, warning ships away from dangerous shoals on the east side of the Hudson River. Years of landfill by a now-demolished General Motors factory moved the shoreline within a few feet of the light. The cast iron tower was installed in 1883. Over its 78 years of operation, 12 light keepers and their families occupied the five-story structure. The light was automated in the mid 1950s, and operated until 1961 when navigation lights on the Tappan Zee Bridge rendered it obsolete. In the 1970s Westchester County acquired the decommissioned structure from the federal government.
Imagine if you could undergo a simple operation to repair the damage caused by a heart attack or to heal a spinal injury. What if, instead of waiting for an organ transplant, patients could receive a laboratory-grown replacement, using their own stem cells? Tissue engineering and regenerative medicine aim to make these dreams a reality, but to do so we need to harness natural repair processes and replicate the complexity found within the human body.
This picture shows nerve cells (neurons) growing in a plastic Petri dish. Left to their own devices, they grow randomly and do not form the aligned bundles of cells found within the nervous system. Our research involves the development of ‘scaffolds’ to grow cells like these in 3D. By mimicking the structures found in our bodies we aim to provide specific guidance to the cells, enabling us to repair or regenerate diseased and damaged tissues.

Since taking up photography around 18 months ago I have a growing collection of books that I use for inspiration and guidance.

The chapel is extra-diocesan, and the castle is the official residence of Lord St Levan. Many relics, chiefly armour and antique furniture, are preserved in the castle. The chapel of St Michael, a fifteenth century building, has an embattled tower, in one angle of which is a small turret, which served for the guidance of ships. Chapel Rock, on the beach, marks the site of a shrine dedicated to the Virgin Mary, where pilgrims paused to worship before ascending the Mount. A few houses are built on the hillside facing Marazion, and a spring supplies them with water.
Some studies indicate that any rise in ocean waters as well as existing natural erosion would put some of the Cornwall coast at risk, including St. Michael's Mount.[13]
St Michael's Mount is still owned by the St Aubyn family, but visitor access is controlled by the National Trust.
There is a row of eight houses at the back of the present village; they were built in 1885 and are known as Elizabeth Terrace. A spring supplies them with water. Some of the houses are occupied by staff working in the castle and elsewhere on the island.
The island cemetery (currently no public access) contains the graves of former residents of the island and several drowned sailors. There are also buildings that were formerly the steward's house, a changing-room for bathers, the stables, the laundry, a barge house, a sail loft (now a restaurant), and two former inns. A former bowling green adjoins one of the buildings.
One of the most noteworthy points of interest on the island is the island's own underground railway, which is still used to transport goods from the harbour up to the castle. It was built by tin miners around 1900, replacing the pack horses which had previously been used. Due to the steep gradient, it cannot be used for passengers. The National Trust currently does not permit public access or viewing of the railway.
The harbour, widened in 1823 to allow vessels of 500 tons to enter, has a pier dating from the fifteenth century which was subsequently enlarged and restored. Queen Victoria landed at the harbour from the royal yacht in 1846, and a brass inlay of her footstep can be seen at the top of the landing stage. King Edward VII's footstep is also visible near the bowling-green. In 1967 the Queen Mother entered the harbour in a pinnace from the royal yacht Britannia.
I was so devastated when I caught one of favourite people lying me since then.. A friend told me that it is because I am too naïve and that's why I became so sad after knowing the truth. As far I can remember, I never actually really a 'busy body' person where I only focus on my things.. but I can't stay selfish all the time.
I am a very cheerful person outside and no one can tell if I have problems inside except he/she asks. Through this, I learnt a very valuable lesson in life that to a certain extent, I don't want it to ever happen again. So, so bad. It wasn't sweet at all.
I came back to where I should belong. The Holy Book is a guidance, a complete guidance. I believe in it because I can see why. I mean, I opened my heart to accept the truth. It was really, really hard for me. The dilemma I was facing made me more matured.
Tho, I will never force anyone to believe what I believe 'cause it's definitely not my job.. it's one's priority and job to seek the knowledge..
God bless everyone.. to those who are fasting in this holy month of Ramadan, I hope you guys stay strong. We are almost there.
much love.. xoxo
This is the side of the Apollo command module you never saw in photos. They always favored the "hatch" side. The guidance equipment looks at the stars through these little windows. The 28x sextant looked through the larger slit on the right and the scanning telescope used the smaller one on the left. Both rotated to see 360°.

Regional Gliding School (Atlantic), Debert, Nova Scotia
Working together to ensure a safe and efficient operation!
The Regional Gliding School (Atlantic), in Debert, N.S., is one of four Cadet Summer Training Centres in Atlantic Canada. Cadets from across Canada are at the school this summer learning how to fly gliders. The school also has three satellite locations, in Waterville, N.S., Moncton, N.B., and Gander, N.L. where cadets from across the region are learning how to fly single-engine aircraft this summer. Through participation in the Cadet Program, young people develop valuable life skills in teamwork, citizenship, leadership and physical fitness while having fun and meeting new friends.

Mum's 59th Birthday
Well, my niece alicia really has 7 birthdays a year at least. Hers, mum and dad, my bro and his wife, mine and my wife's. She's the centre of attention always and loves blowing out those candles and opening people's presents for them. Mum asked me to take a few shots last night and guess what, alicia was in every single one :P
