Window at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic church in Bilton, Warwickshire.
This composite panel was made up of 'leftover' pieces of one of the former side windows of the nave, displaced when the church was extended in 1990. Other parts have been incorporated into windows two similar windows nearby.
Originally built in 1958 on a traditional plan with an oblong nave and chancel in one chamber, the church was dramatically re-organised and extended in the early 1990s under the guidance of Fr Paul Chamberlain, wherein the axis of the church was re-orientated by 90 degrees with a centralised granite block altar in what was the heart of the old nave. The 'south' nave wall was removed to allow an extended aisle and ambulatory on this side. The former main entrance narthex was blocked up to create what is now the Blessed Sacrament chapel.
One of the most dramatic innovations in the re-ordered church is the full immersion fount, a cruciform marble pool set into the floor before the altar, evoking the earliest method of Christian Baptism by immersion in the River Jordan.
The two main stained glass windows on either side of the old nave were removed and re-sited in truncated form in the new extension, and in the place of the northern one a large crucifix (painted by Fr Chamberlain) has been set up as a focus behind the new altar. The six high windows on this wall are the latest addition to the church and are my own work from 1999.

This is a recent work done in water colour. A copy of work by Leonard Squirrell. Some guidance by tutor.

Arcangelo Ianelli (São Paulo, 1922 - idem 2009). Painter, sculptor, illustrator and initially self-taught draughtsman. In 1940, he studied perspective at the Associação Paulista de Belas Artes [São Paulo Association of Fine Arts], and in 1942, received guidance in painting from Colette Pujol. Two years later, he attended the studio of Waldemar da Costa, with Lothar Charoux, Hermelindo Fiaminghi and Maria Leontina. During the 1950s, was a member of the Grupo Guanabara [Group Guanabara], with Manabu Mabe, Yoshiya Takaoka, Jorge Mori, Tomoo Handa, Tikashi Fukushima and Wega Nery, among others. From the 1940s onwards, produced everyday scenes, urban landscapes and seascapes which revealed a major formal synthesis and a chromatic range in subdued tones. During the 1960s, he returned to informal abstraction, producing canvases with a density of material and dark colours. By the end of the 1960s, his work had become both linear and pictorial, with a notable use of graphisms. From 1970 onwards he has returned to geometric abstraction, most notably using rectangles and squares, presented as superimposed and interpenetrating planes. He has also worked as a sculptor since the mid-1970s, when he began to execute works in marble and wood, in which he returned to constant questions in his painting. In 2002, he celebrated his 80th birthday with a retrospective at the Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo - Pesp [State Art Gallery of São Paulo].

d. In this photo, the FGS/NIRISS was being lifted for placement on a master tool for key measurements prior to installation onto its flight structure later.
The Canadian Space Agency's contribution to the Webb mission, the FGS/NIRISS arrived at NASA Goddard on July 30, 2012. The FGS/NIRISS is the second instrument to arrive at NASA Goddard that will fly aboard the James Webb Space Telescope. The Fine Guidance Sensor will enable the telescope to accurately and precisely point at the correct, intended objects for it to observe.
