This started off as a photo of my bosses' employee award. Let's see if I can remember all of the apps I used - Camera +, Grungetastic, ArtistaHaiku, Dynamic Light, Diptic, iDroste. Lately I'm in a "take a picture of an ordinary item and see what you can do with it" phase. This is one of the better results, but it took probably an hour to complete.
Inspired by John Carpenter's horror flick, "Halloween," I shot this image from the inside of a paper mask.

I saw it there, sitting on the sidewalk, or perhaps resting, standing, whatever you would use to be the more correct description of a moose head which has been prepared by a taxidermist waiting to be mounted. I drive by this place frequently and have seen any number of different animals in various poses waiting in front of the shop. I've often thought I should just stop and try to get a few pics but have always chickened out. I've never been sure if my Flickronian friends would find such as this offensive in some way. I decided I would try today and if course as soon as I made a quick approach someone walked up and asked what I wanted. Seems they were trying to move their car when I parked and blocked them in a bit. I only got three shots off before I was asked again to move my car.

Apps Used: Scratchcam, Retouch, Camera+, Grungetastic, Superimpose, Blurfx, Artista Sketch
Started in Sketji. I brought the drawing into ArtRage, set the layer to Multiply, and painted with the oil brush in a layer underneath. I opened the saved ArtRage version in Grungetastic and created a monochrome textured version. Finally I mixed the ArtRage and Grungetastic versions in Blender. I set the blend mode to Luminosity and used a mask to hold back the texture in sun and figure.
I'm not sure which version I like the best. Each has it's own appeal.

Today's accomplishment looks a lot like that from a few days ago and several days before that and more days before that. It seems I'm getting very good at this shoveling of snow thing. And, I'm getting a great workout too ;-)
