Just an observation...yesterday's daily post of the roses was not too popular...with views. It's okay. The last time I posted roses, I think it was about the same result. So I'm thinking I'll drop the roses and go for grunge today... Thank you for your visit. Really. Thank you!

Un año antes de su encuentro con aquel cineasta canadiense, William se había dedicado a explorar de primera mano las posibles reacciones de un público algo más acostumbrado al eufemismo.

These are two sculptures found on the building opposite Queens Hotel in Leeds, joining Infirmary Street (can't recall name of company). To me they are Ravens, although from one angle the do look like pigeons. I've tweaked in camera + and Grungetastic.

I woke up this morning with an idea of how to combine textures made with ArtRage with shapes done in Inkpad and do it with a graduated blend. This is my first proof of concept painting. I was so excited to try it that I did it while I was eating breakfast. I then used Grungetastic to add some additional texture and color.
I'm not sure which way to turn this one. This is the way I painted it. Turned this way it's a dynamic figurative piece, but if you turn it 90 degrees clockwise, it becomes a seascape. I'm not sure which I like the best. What do you think?

... the challenge was to take Kim's image of tulips on a black background and in her words, "Go forth and play...anything goes..." Kim, I took you at your word!
Process: First, took image into Snapseed (desktop app) where I cropped, sharpened, fogged, desaturated & blurred the edges. Next, it went into Grungetastic (another desktop app) where I played & played until the scratchy, vintage look felt right, then lastly, into Photoshop for flipping, cropping the too-thick frame, dulling down the green stems on the right, adding copyright.
