Friday, March 11, marked Day 1 of SXSW 2016. While I was initially planning to catch the SXSW Film Festival's opening night premiere, I changed those plans after Friskies invited me to be a VIP at the Friskies Cat Concoctions private party held in honor of Grumpy Cat (a.k.a. Tardar Sauce). Among the many highlights of the party was the chance for a photo op with Grumpy herself! (Alas, we weren't allowed to pet her.) I wasn't able to get a good selfie (my arms are too short to hold the iPhone far enough away), so her owner kindly offered to take this photo of me. :)

Little Burrito likes to go into Dixie and Trixie's room. He'll hoover up any crumbs they might have left, or take a drink of water from their bowl, or just generally snoop around and make himself comfortable. In the past Dixie has liked to plop down by the door and trap him in there, but she hasn't done this for a while since she got sick and so he got cheeky. Yesterday I realized from the amount of whimpering and whining that she was back to her former self and he was begging and pleading for mercy. Dixie has none:-))
Actually I was glad to see this -- it's good to see Dixie taking more of an interest in life even if it does mean resuming her habit of tormenting Burrito!!
