Because it was a very cold day ,Champaz decided to stay in bed. He looks very grumpy in this capture , i think he wanted to sleep and not be disturbed.....

Dixie La Belle had to visit her nice vet today. Although she eats with a hearty appetite, she hasn't gained any weight, and she has shown signs of a urinary tract infection:-(( Dr. G drew blood and it seems her blood sugar level is still way too high. I am going to have to increase the amount of insulin in her injections, and give her an antibiotic pill once a day. Fortunately Dixie is easy to dose. She complains a lot but doesn't struggle, well, not too much anyway:-))
Dr. G is a wonderful vet. She speaks with a very soft, quiet tone of voice, and does not make any sudden moves. Dixie is easily startled and stressed at the vet's, and I really appreciate Dr. G understanding that Dixie has special needs. Dixie even allowed her to bundle her up in her towel and carry her to another room for the blood test.
Getting her into Burrito's travel crate was a real adventure. She meowed all the way to the vet's which made me feel like the meanest person in the universe. When it was time to leave the vet's, I asked if someone could help me put back into the crate. Dr. G helped, and naturally Dixie just walked right in. Apparently she liked the crate more than the examination table!!
