Grumpy old goose loosing partial its feathers

This little guy was just perched on the leaf minding his own business waiting for a fly. He was in a meditative state and didn't see my camera getting closer and closer. All of a sudden he looked up, furrowed his eyebrows and jumped off the leaf. I love it when that happens.

Believe it or not this grumpy looking kitty is the most affectionate cat I have ever met. She is a regular visitor to our allotment and wants to be cuddled and played with constantly, she literally tries to climb up your leg to get to you, she is just adorable. However her pretty face doesn't seem to transfer to the camera very well. But we love her nevertheless! She is affectionately named Chewie.

Well yesterday we were food shopping in Penzance, you know as you do and well when we came out of the supermarket the sky looked like a major thunderstorm had developed! My kind of conditions! So I legged it over the road (past the tramps and drug infested toilets) and to an outcrop of rocks just beside the road! Well I had 10 minutes (under strict instructions from my wife) and I managed to make this image, before the water cut me off and I had to wade back over slippy rocks to a grumpy wife waiting in the car with two (well one to be honest) very grumpy kids… Anyway the things we do in the pursuit of art!!!

These two little house wrens had just fledged, making their way to the relative safety of the trees after a brief stop on our deck. Without their tail feathers, they are only a few inches long, looking like little brown fluff balls.

Pelican in Odense zoo

Turned it's back, and sulked.

But good to get a shot from a different angle.

Thank you so much for the visit. I hope your week is going well.

Neotropic cormorant, Nassau, Bahamas

This is Kiko, a young spectacled owl, only 7 months old. I met Kiko for the first time a few weeks ago at the Animal fair at Stuttgart and some of you may remember the photo I posted of him then. This capture was taken in early December when I visited the falconry to which he belongs. I think I woke him up from his late morning nap, it's awful to open your eyes and the first thing you see is a camera. :)

panic , there u go a reptile :P

One of the cheetah cubs coming towards the camera and looking quite grumpy!

White-Faced Capuchin Monkey in Costa Rica.

Part of the Harmony Kingdom collection of cats for the Macro Mondays challenge: "Figurine."

Area shown is about 57mm square. Happy Macro Monday!

My doggie hates it to be in a photo :) Not a very sharp photo, but i love the way she looks away ..

She is a delicate flower lately. I believe she was grumpy with me here because I was supposed to know that her babble of pseudo-language at me in response to my questions about whether or not she knew what "courage" meant (she was watching the Wizard of Oz) meant "No, mother, I don't know what that means. Would you please tell me?" So when I didn't answer, she was "sad."

Macro Mondays and for the theme "Eye of the Beholder" I decided upon a Pansy as my subject this week.

I find them to be fascinating and do see beauty in them. They do look a little grumpy and therefore are a good sibject for Pareidolia.

They also blow around a bit in a slight breeze so I had to take a burst of images when the breeze died down.

Barn Swallow (Hirundo rustica)

This baby isn't really grumpy, its just the way its beak curves. There were several of the on the bridge railing and the support cable, all waiting to have lunch delivered.

Young Superb Blue Fairy Wren (Malurus cyaneus), Greenpatch, Australia

Showing its pleasure in having me trudge through its habitat :-)

The light, color and detail is terrible on this shot, but the expression and pose gave me a smile...so I posted it. The white in the background is snow, melted now..Taken through a window.

Thanks for stopping by, your visit is always appreciated! Big hugs♥
