Members and supporters of The Co-operative and Oxfam in June 2012 called on the UK Government to champion small-scale farmers and co-operatives at the forthcoming Rio+20 Summit, in light of the role they play in feeding nearly a third of humanity. Campaigners from both organisations met Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg to represent 17,500 of their peers who added their name to our campaign. The campaigners presented Nick Clegg with a piece of art bearing the slogan 'Join Team Betty' and portraying its namesake, a tea farmer who was one of 11,000 smallholder tea farmers supported by The Co-operative. My daughter will be 7 in November - I can't believe how quickly those years have flown by! :-/
Nikonsnapper kindly lent me his Canon G9 at the weekend so I was just trying it out in daylight here. Great little camera - I didn't really do it justice as not familiar with all the dials/settings but I can certainly see it's potential! Thanks for that Ian!

Spent 3-4 hours stitching together 12 or 13 photos, so I automatically will always see this photo as an accomplishment.
I never see improvement in my work. I'm trying to push myself more. I'm waiting for the day when I can look at my work and love it wholeheartedly.
Miracle Grow = steroids for plants! My newly repotted plants are doing SO well!
Also - who knew hydrangea flowers were so long living?

Coins that have been hammered into a tree stump. I found this on my holiday to Lake District. It fascinated me, how some of the coins were old and looked like they had been there a while, and some were new. People must keep going back to this tree to put more coins into it.
''Star, one day do you think I will be able to have contact lenses so I can look beautiful like a princess?'' asked Toots
''Toots you are beautiful, you are a princess and I think your glasses give you a special look, that you can see things that we all miss'' replied Star.
''You think?, perhaps you are right, maybe I am okay to just be me!''
''I wouldn't want you to be any other way, I love you forever Toots'', and Star hugged her
