People grow through experience if they meet life honestly and courageously. This is how character is built.

'Darling, gimme head with hair, long beautiful hair

Shining, gleaming, steaming, sides and waxen

Give me down to there hair, shoulder length or longer

Here baby, there mama, everywhere daddy, daddy

Hair (Go, go, go, go, go little girls)

Flow it, show it

Long as god can grow it, my hair'

The huge part of the tree that appears to be laying on the ground is really growing out of the side of the tree that way. I checked it thinking it was broken, it's not, it's attached quite securely to the vertical part of the tree.

The Valles Caldera (we just called it Valles Grande when I was growing up) is a 13.7-mile (22.0 km) volcanic caldera in the Jemez Mountains in North-Central New Mexico, USA. It is surrounded by a ring of mountains, the highest of which is Redondo Peak, an 11,253-foot (3,430 m). This is nearly the hightest peak in the Jemez mountains (the highest is Chicoma at 11, 561 feet (3,524 m). My father, who grew up in the area, told us childhood stories of he and his brothers catching minnows there and reselling them for fishing-bait in southern New Mexico. It is an absolutely stunning sight in any season and I was fortunate to catch these two skiers out enjoying the day in the dramatic light.

Some may remember a photo I posted last August of a Cape Leeuwin that was self sown in the front corner of the garden. It is now about 15 inches (~40cm) tall and growing strong. I will add the original image in the comments.

These baby gannets at Cape Kidnapper grow up really fast. I saw some of them almost as big as their moms. They were demanding too!
