Grimaldi's Pizzeria, located in DUMBO, Brooklyn, NYC. To a Texan, this pizza is unbelievable, and can only be experienced, not described.
There was a line of people 20 deep outside in 20 degree weather, waiting to get a small table in this tiny restaurant. The whole thing, including the kitchen, cannot be more than 800 sqft. I took my pizza pie to go and ate it while walking back to the Subway.
Not just fragrance and flowers in spring/summer with this one, but nearly year round if sheltered from the worst of winter rains and winds. Almost too much of a good thing, with fragrance most noticeable on warmer nights at a distance, only up close on our typical cool evenings.

Archaeological Museum of Bologna presents Pompeii Painters, one of the most eagerly awaited exhibitions of the autumn exhibition season in Italy. Curated by Mario Grimaldi and produced by MondoMostre, the exhibition is made possible by a cultural and scientific collaboration agreement between the Municipality of Bologna, Archaeological Museum of Bologna and the National Archaeological Museum of Naples, that includes the exceptional loan of over 100 works from the Roman era belonging to the collection of the Neapolitan museum. The exhibition project focuses on the figures of the pictores, i.e. the artists and artisans who created the decorative apparatuses in the houses of Pompeii, Herculaneum and the Vesuvian area, in order to contextualise their role and economic condition in the society of the time, as well as highlighting their techniques, tools, colours and models. The extremely important patrimony of images that these authors have left us - splendid frescoes with still vivid colours, often of large dimensions - reflects the tastes and values of a varied clientele and allows us to better understand the mechanisms underlying the workshops' production system. In Bologna, for the first time, a corpus of extraordinary examples of Roman painting from those domus famous precisely for the beauty of their wall decorations, from which they often also took on the name by which they are known, is exhibited.
Our Elites got a special taste (and take home present) from our favorites at Grimaldi's in Fort Worth! Photography by Allie Norado
We went to Mayflower Park in Southampton which runs along one of the busiest ports in the UK (maybe the world?) which yields a plethora of shipping traffic from cruise ships to container ships to oil tankers.
nothing to do and no hamburgers to satiate my hunger for in 'n out (a hunger ironically stirred up by this boingboing post), i settled for the next best thing: pizza.
the best pizza in town, it seems, was just across the river - within view of my room - at grimaldi's in brooklyn heights. i layered up and struck out into the forty-degree weather for my first jaunt across the brooklyn bridge and my first trip into brooklyn. i ate most of my sizable (and incredible) pepperoni pizza sitting at the waterfront, then went inside to warm up and have some butter pecan and the brooklyn ice cream factory. a walk back with the leftover pizza and it was a nice night with myself, my thoughts, and my camera.

24mm. I could have gone wider, but due to renovation work, the lower floor was covered in scaffolding. 2026 remaster from a single exposure.

All Saints Church, Haggerston London. Last performed 2018 pre Covod. At least 10 have passed on since. More photographers than clowns this year I think. Some rude ones amongst them....the sort with 4 cameras around their necks AND big bags on their backs. I actually spun one around like a top as be barged in front of me and almost knocked my camera from my hands, Clowns are no longer a laughing matter.....
