Perched upon the fortifications conceived by Vauban to protect what was once the acropolis of the greek town of Antipolis, the Castle of the Grimaldi became a stronghold of the powerful genoese family in the Middle Ages. The castle became subsequently the residence of the governor of the King of France, Antibes' town hall and a military garrison. In 1946 Pablo Picasso was offered the chance to install his atelier within the castle, which, in 1966, becomes the Picasso Museum, housing around 245 master pieces by the artist.
Grimaldi's definitely has great pizza. Not the best (you'd have to go to Patsy's in Spanish Harlem for that), but is a definite guarantee for good times.

A brief description of him found by his grave.
Salty and Pip at Grimaldi's. Shortly after my arrival in NYC, Anna and I went here with Salty and Pip to gnaw on the BIGGEST pizza I have ever seen (or eaten). Grimaldi's was Sinatra's hang - see his visage on the far wall.
