This pile o' sizzling meat makes a column of smoke that can be seen from most vantages around the Careterra shopping district. It has burned the restaurant's sign half black already. In both adjacent shopping stalls (both custom furniture), proprietors level fans at the griddle to keep the smoke from burning their unstained wood things black, too. Of course, these two fans create a crossfire, so the smoke goes everywhere.
I am so curious about the actual temperature this thing hit. Those little rust-colored pellets are lumps of burnt oil and rust. They brushed off, and then I scrubbed the whole thing with diluted vinegar to remove the more serious rust.
Three griddles all together. Weiner pies and cinnamonn rolls. By that time I had ate 5 weiner pies, so there was a bit more them at first :P

Taken at the "Cooking Up Christmas" event at Oakwell Hall in Batley, were we made these scones, and cooked them on the open fire, 17th century style!
36 inch Blackstone propane griddle. It fits comfortably on the cooking patio, with enough room to get around while cooking. It joins the pellet grill/smoker. digital electric smoker, and my trusty tried and true 35 year old Webber charcoal kettle bbq grill.
And the best part? My wife pushed me to buy it!
We are set for the upcoming chaos and insanity that will accompany the kitchen remodel slated for late summer.
Now all I need is a beer refridgerator and a disco ball!
